KEA has extended the Karnataka PGCET 2026 registration deadline to April 20, 2026, with the final fee payment deadline set for April 22, 2026. Candidates can apply online at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea for MBA, MCA, ME, and MTech courses.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced a significant extension for the Karnataka PGCET 2026 registration process, moving the final date from April 08 to April 20, 2026.
This decision comes as a major relief for students seeking admission into MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech, and M.Arch programs across various government and private institutes in Karnataka.
Eligible candidates are advised to visit the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea to complete their online application forms before the revised midnight deadline.
This extension addresses the persistent demand from students who faced technical difficulties or required more time to gather necessary academic documentation.
The Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) serves as the primary gateway for determining the merit and eligibility of both Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates for professional postgraduate courses.
By providing this additional window, the KEA ensures that no deserving candidate is excluded from the competitive selection process due to timeframe constraints.

Karnataka PGCET 2026 Exam Pattern
The Karnataka PGCET 2026 exam will be conducted in an offline, pen-and-paper format using OMR sheets for all disciplines. The test paper typically consists of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions to be completed within a 120-minute duration.
Notably, there is no negative marking in the PGCET, which encourages students to attempt all questions to maximize their potential scores.
Candidates appearing for the M.E. or M.Tech papers are permitted to use non-programmable calculators, reflecting the technical nature of those specific subject assessments.
To ensure a smooth application experience, students should double-check all entries, particularly category and income details, before the final submission. Experts suggest that candidates should utilize this extended period to refine their preparation strategy by solving previous years' question papers and taking mock tests.
The final results and merit lists are tentatively scheduled for publication in the first week of June 2026, followed by the centralized counselling process. Students are advised to keep their original documents, including study certificates and caste certificates, ready for the document verification phase that usually commences in August.
Consistent monitoring of the official KEA website is recommended to stay updated on the specific dates for option entry and seat allotment.
