KCET 2024 Application Form to be Available from January 18 @cetonline.karnataka.gov.in; Check Steps to Apply Here

New Delhi: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced that the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2024 application form will not be accessible from January 13 till January 17, 2024. Interested candidates for the exam can initiate their registration process from January 18 onwards at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

The KEA explained the temporary unavailability and clarified that the SATS services will be inaccessible until January 16. Since student data validation relies on SATS, the registration process for KCET 2024 will be suspended during this period.

The registration process by KEA commenced on January 10, 2024. According to the KCET 2024 schedule, the application deadline is February 10, 2024. The KCET exam for 2024 is scheduled for April 18 and 19. Initially set for April 20 and 21, the exam dates were adjusted to avoid a clash with the NDA exams scheduled for April 21 this year.

Steps to apply for KCET 2024

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply for KCET 2024:

Step 1: Visit the official website at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and click on the registration link. Click on “Register”.

Step 2: Candidates need to log in with the help of generated credentials.

Step 3: Enter the necessary details and upload the required documents. 

Step 4: Pay the application fees with the help of a credit card, debit card, or net banking. 

Step 5: After the transaction, the application form for KCET 2024 will appear on the screen. 

Step 6: Print out the filled application form for future reference.

Step 7: Candidates must have their Principal's signature on the form. The signature of any Gazette Officer will also work.

KEA released an official notice stating, “The department of school education informed that SATS database is being migrated to the newly allotted database; hence the SATS services will not be available for four days from January 13 to 16, 2024.” It further added that “Since CET-2024 application validates students data through SATS number, CET 2024 application will not be available for students from January 13 to January 17, 2024.”

Responding to applicants' requests, the examination authority declared that there would be no physical verification this year. Instead, the registration process will incorporate an application-cum-verification module. KEA clarified that school study, Kannada medium, caste, income, etc., will be verified through SATS or the revenue department web service.
