KCET 2026 Registration Begins @cetonline.karnataka.gov.in; Apply by February 17

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has started the registration process for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 is a state-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Veterinary, Yoga & Naturopathy, and other allied programs.

Candidates willing to pursue professional courses in Karnataka can register online starting 17 January 2026 through the official portal. The last date to apply is February 17, 2026.

KCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for KCET 2026, a candidate must:

1. Nationality: Be an Indian citizen.
2. Education: Have passed or be appearing in the 2nd PUC / Class 12 or equivalent examination.
3. Core Subjects: Engineering: Must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biology/Biotechnology.
   • Pharmacy/Agriculture: Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.
4. Minimum Marks: Secure at least 45% marks in the optional subjects (40% for SC/ST/Category-1 candidates from Karnataka).
5. Domicile: Meet one of the Karnataka domicile criteria (e.g., studying in Karnataka for at least 7 years).

KCET 2026 Selection Process

The selection is based on:

1. Entrance Exam: Performance in the KCET 2026 offline (OMR-based) test.
2. Merit List: Ranks are prepared based on KCET 2026 scores.
3. Counselling: Online seat allotment based on ranks and student preferences.
