NCET 2026 Registration Begins for 4-Year ITEP Admissions; Exam Scheduled on April 17

The application fee for NCET 2026 is ₹1,200 for General/OBC candidates, while SC, ST, PwD, and Transgender applicants are required to pay ₹600.

NCET 2026 Registration Open

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the online registration process for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026 for admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2026–27.

The online application window is open from February 12 to March 10, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM). The last date for successful fee payment is March 11, 2026. The correction window will remain open from March 12 to March 14, 2026.

The ITEP is a Dual Major Programme - the first major is in Education with School Specific Stage specialisation, and the second major is in an opted discipline.

The NCET 2026 exam will be conducted in CBT mode across India in 13 languages. The examination is scheduled for April 17, 2026, subject to change depending on the election schedule.

The exam is being conducted by NTA on behalf of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) for admission to ITEP programmes offered by selected Central and State Universities and institutions, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges across the country.

Candidates can apply only through the official website - https://exams.nta.nic.in/ncet/. Only one application form per candidate is permitted. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification. Admit card release, exam city intimation, answer key display, and result declaration dates will be announced later on the official website.
