NIT Calicut Partners with Vehant Technologies to Teach AI & Machine Learning to Students

New Delhi: NIT Calicut and Vehant Technologies, a firm specialising in AI/ML-based security solutions, have entered a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly educate students pursuing BTech, MTech, and PhD programs. 

This strategic collaboration aims to bring together the collective expertise of NIT Calicut faculty and Vehant scientists with their shared commitment to advancing to offer knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

Key Highlights of NIT Calicut and Vehant Technologies Collaboration

The partnership will facilitate collaborative projects involving NITC students, professors, and Vehant's Research and Development (R&D) team. It will focus on developing and applying AI/ML technologies in security domains such as physical security, surveillance, traffic monitoring, and enterprise analytics.

NIT Calicut and Vehant Technologies are dedicated to impacting academia and industry through joint initiatives. The collaboration envisions concerted efforts in various AI/ML and related areas, harnessing the complementary strengths of both parties. 

NIT Calicut faculty members will actively participate in Vehant's initiatives, providing academic consulting and fostering an environment conducive to innovation. The ultimate goal is to showcase and publish breakthroughs in conferences and technical journals.

Mr. Anoop G. Prabhu, CTO of Vehant Technologies, expressed confidence in the collaboration's ability to create a dynamic learning space, combining NIT Calicut's distinguished faculty with Vehant's innovative R&D team. Their shared objective is to contribute valuable insights to the field of security solutions, presenting their findings in conferences and journals. 

Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director of NIT Calicut, highlighted the MoU's focus on collaborative research in applying AI/ML techniques to areas of mutual interest, explicitly addressing physical security, surveillance, and traffic monitoring. This collaboration aims to enhance the academic experience for students while fostering groundbreaking advancements in AI/ML within the security domain.
