NTA Announces New Dates for UGC-NET, CSIR-NET and NCET 2024 Amid Exam Controversy

As per the new schedule, the UGC NET Exam 2024 will now be held from August 31 to September 04, CSIR NET will be held from July 25 to July 27 and NCET exam will be held on July 10, 2024.

New Delhi: National Testing Agency has announced the fresh dates for various entrance exams which were earlier postponed due to irregularities and NEET UG 2024 controversy. The revised schedule has been released for UGC-NET, CSIR-NET and NCET 2024 examinations.

As per the official notice, the University Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET 2024) will be conducted from August 21 to September 04, 2024. Earlier, the exam was scheduled for June 28, 2024. However, it was postponed due to reports of a paper leak.

In addition to this, NTA will conduct the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR 2024) from July 25 to July 27, 2024 for admission to PhD programs offered by participating institutes. The exam was postponed as a safety measure by the exam authority.

National Common Entrance Test (NCET 2024) will now be held on July 10, 2024 for admission to a four-year Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) offered by central and state universities including IITs, NITs, RIEs, etc. Earlier, NCET 2024 was scheduled for June 12, 2024.

NEET UG 2024 Controversy

As a result of recent allegations of irregularities in the NEET UG 2024 as well as in NET conducted by NTA, the exam authority has decided to create a dedicated panel to ensure a smooth, fair and transparent exam process and conduction for NTA exams.

Recently, CBI has arrested two individuals in Patna in connection with the NEET Paper Leak 2024 case as a part of its ongoing investigation. Additionally, CBI has interrogated the principal and several staff members of a school in Jharkhand to reveal hidden facts regarding their potential involvement in the paper leak.
