JEE Main 2026 Session 2

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a crucial advisory for candidates appearing in the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination. It is mandatory for all students to download their JEE Main Admit Cards from the official website and carefully verify their exam date, shift, and venue.

Candidates are advised to visit their designated centers a day in advance to familiarize themselves with the location and ensure they reach on time. Entry will strictly be prohibited once the gate closing time has passed.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Important Guidelines and Information

Category Detailed Requirements and Instructions
Mandatory Documents Candidates must carry a clear colour printout of the Admit Card (A4 size), two passport-size photos, and an original valid Photo ID.
Authentication Candidates without Aadhaar-based registration must report early for biometric recording. Ensure Aadhaar biometrics are unlocked.
B. Arch Requirements For the Drawing Test, students must bring their own geometry box, pencils, and crayons; watercolours are prohibited.
Prohibited Items Electronic devices, watches, calculators, metallic items, bags, and stationery (except for B.Arch) are strictly banned.
Rough Work A4 size blank sheets will be provided. Candidates must write their name and roll number on each sheet and drop them in the box before leaving.
Special Provisions Diabetic students can carry fruits and sugar tablets in transparent bottles. Sikh candidates may wear a Kara and Kirpan.
Marking Scheme Most sections award +4 for correct answers and deduct -1 for incorrect answers.
Admit Card Submission The duly filled Admit Card must be dropped in the designated box after the exam to avoid non-evaluation.

The NTA emphasizes that the entire examination process is under CCTV surveillance and equipped with jammers to prevent any unfair practices. Candidates must ensure their biometric attendance is recorded even after bio-breaks.
