TS PGECET 2026 Notification Out @pgecet.tgche.ac.in; Admission Applications to Begin From February 27

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, has released the notification for the Telangana Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2026.

This state-level entrance exam is the gateway for admission into various postgraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy for the academic year 2026-2027. The registration fee for TS PGECET 2026 must be paid by the applicant through an online payment gateway such as Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card. For General and OBC candidates, the fee is ₹1100 per test, while a reduced fee of ₹600 per test is applicable for SC, ST, and PWD candidates.

TS PGECET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the entrance test, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Nationality: The applicant must be an Indian Citizen.
• Domicile: Candidates must satisfy the local/non-local status requirements of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.
• Academic Qualification: A relevant Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Arch, or equivalent) from a recognized university.
• Minimum Marks: At least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories like SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.
• GATE/GPAT Score: Candidates with a valid GATE or GPAT score are also eligible and will be given preference during the admission process.

TS PGECET 2026 Selection Process

1. Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear for the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which consists of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be completed in 2 hours.
2. Qualifying Marks: The qualifying mark is 30% (36 marks out of 120) for general candidates. There are no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates.
3. Counselling: Shortlisted candidates based on their TS PGECET rank (or GATE/GPAT scores) will be called for the web-based counselling process for seat allotment.

Candidates must follow these steps to register:

1. Visit the Official Website: Go to pgecet.tgche.ac.in.
2. Fee Payment: Click on the "Application Fee Payment" link and pay the fee using the preferred online mode.
3. Fill Application Form: After payment, click on "Fill Application Form" and enter the Payment Reference ID.
4. Upload Documents: Upload the scanned copy of your photo and signature.
5. Submit & Print: Review the details, submit the form, and download the filled-in application for future reference.
