UGC Advises Universities to Register with NTA to Enable Admission through CUET PG 2024

New Delhi: The Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) registration process is continuing. In a notification released on January 25, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has urged universities to register with the National Testing Agency (NTA) to facilitate admissions to PG courses within the university.

Emphasising that the NTA has been assigned the role of conducting CUET PG 2024 as an entrance test for admission to central universities, the commission clarified that the list of participating institutions showcased on the NTA website is subject to change and will be periodically updated to incorporate the names of new universities as they complete the registration process.

The UGC said, “In case you have not yet registered with NTA for enabling admissions to PG courses in your university in the year 2024, you may do so now.”

The commission has also shared help desk numbers to get queries and clarifications cleared on the number 011-40759000. The universities intending to participate in CUET PG can also email at cuet-pg@nta.ac.in to resolve queries.

The application window for CUET PG 2024 will be closed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on January 31. Those who have not yet registered for CUET PG 2024 can submit their applications online through the new website: pgcuet.samarth.ac.in.

How to Register for CUET PG 2024?

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to register for the CUET PG 2024 exam:

Step 1: Go to the CUET PG exam 2024 official website- pgcuet.samarth.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the CUET PG 2024 Registration link.

Step 3: Provide the requested details, such as registration ID, password, etc. Candidates must carefully fill in their personal details, qualification details, preferred exam centre, etc. in the application form.

Step 4: Now upload the relevant documents in the correct format. Students must note that the coloured photographs should be taken with a white background. The file should be uploaded in the .jpg or .jpeg format.

Step 5: Sign with the black pen on the white paper and scan it. Upload the photograph in the space provided. This signature will be present on your admit card and this should match the signature done on your answer sheet during the final exam.

Step 6: Finally, candidates will be directed to the payment option after completing the CUET PG 2024 application form. Pay the application fees through credit card, debit card, UPI, Net banking, etc.

The UGC said, “In case you have not yet registered with NTA for enabling admissions to PG courses in your university in the year 2024, you may do so now.”

It further mentioned that the list of participating institutions, viewable on the NTA's website, is subject to change and will be revised to incorporate your university's name once the registration with NTA is completed."
