Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), commonly known as UP Board, has devised a new system to avoid mismatch and error in UP Board 10th and UP Board 12th documents.

The Board maintains that this new system would put an end to the common problem of errors or misappropriation of the names of students and their parents in intermediate and secondary school marks.

According to the media reports, the Board stated that, with this system, the students ' personal details on the online registration forms would appear automatically as opposed to the previous system, where these details were provided manually by the clerical staff.

UP Board Secretary Divyakant Shukla said, "This time, the registration of students in class 11 is done on the basis of pre-filled personal details of students who appear on the online registration form as soon as their high school roll numbers are filled in by school officials. This would eliminate the problem of typographical errors, which often lead to a mismatch of names, "he said.

He added, "Until now, all the details had to be filled in by the school manually at the time of the advance registration of class 11 students. Now the school would just feed the subjects chosen by the students in class 11 along with the fee details.

Talking about the workings of the system, he stated that this would ensure that the basic details of students enrolled during high school (or UP Board 10th Exams) would be reproduced in class 11 and then in UP Board 12th Exams next year, thus putting an end to the problem of mismatch.

Board officials have revealed that there are currently more than 28,000 schools affiliated with the UP Board, including 17,000 up to the intermediate level. In particular, those students who leave school after having passed high school exams and are admitted to a new school in class 11 will benefit from this new initiative and the pre-filled details of the students will appear on the portal, they add.

The move is welcomed by the teachers.

Bishwanath Mishra, a computer teacher at Shiv Charan Das Kanhaiya Lal Intermediate College, Meerapur said, "This is a commendable initiative that may seem a small step for those unaware of the cumbersome process of admitting students to school and then registering them on the UP Board portal. Even a small typing error while feeding in the details of dozens of students used to cause a lot of problems for school officials as well as students and their parents, "he said. UPMSP announced the 10th Result 2020 UP Board and the 12th Result 2020 UP Board on June 27, 2020.
