The Uttar Pradesh Board is supposed to declare the intermediate and high school results by June 27, 2020. The board is taking the help of technological innovation to make up for the loss of physical sharing of information in the pandemic situation.
The UP Board has launched a limited access portal to work as a bridge between the officials working at the headquarters and those working at the firm finalising the Board exam results. The firm is based out of UP to maintain confidentiality
The usual practice followed is to send a team of 8 to 10 experienced staff members from each of the 5 regional offices of UP Board which are located in Prayagraj, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Meerut and Bareilly. They are sent to the state where the final result is being prepared in order to maintain the confidentiality, said officials
After the evaluation, results are finalised after the state for better secrecy. A team of 40-50 helps the firm that finalises the result out of UP to negate chances of result getting leaked, the officials added.
To abide the social distancing norms, the portal is now being used for receiving queries from the firm representatives and sending required information regarding missing details on a case by case basis like missing practical or written exam marks, etc.
The officials also said that after thorough testing the portal has been made operational just three days back and everything is done online without any physical travel out of state.
UP Board secretary Neena Srivastava said that the evaluation work is now over and results have been finalized. The result will be declared on June 27, 2020 at 12:30 pm.
