The XAT 2026 registration deadline has been extended to 11 December 2025, allowing candidates additional time to complete their applications.

XAT 2026 Registration Extended to 11 December

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2026 registration deadline has officially been extended, offering additional time for candidates who have yet to complete the application process. As per the revised schedule, aspirants can now submit their online applications until 11 December 2025.

The XAT 2026 Exam will be held on January 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and you can register for the exam at the official website, xatonline.in.

The XLRI Jamshedpur has made some changes in the XAT Exam Pattern, which includes a reduction of time from 3.5 hours to 3 hours (180 minutes), and the removal of the Analytical Essay Writing section.

Now, the total number of questions in XAT has been reduced to 95, which makes the exam more focused and time-based. The Scores from the G.K. section will be considered only for the XLRI Final selection process.

XAT 2026 Registration - How to Apply?

The XAT Registration is conducted online on the official website at xatonline.in. You have to create a new user account by filling in your personal and academic details and uploading your photograph and signature as required.

  • Then, select your preferred exam city, make the fee payment, and submit the form before the completion of the deadline.
  • Before submitting, don’t forget to ensure that all the details are correct and properly filled.

To complete XAT registration, Indian candidates must pay Rs. 2,200 as the basic application fee. Each additional XLRI programme costs Rs. 200 extra. Applicants using GMAT/GRE for the PGDM–GM programme need to pay Rs. 2,500, while NRI/foreign candidates applying via GMAT must pay Rs. 5,000. All fees must be paid online to finalise the application.
