If you want the IIM tag, then go for IIM Udaipur. However, if your considerations include faculty, peer group, academic and non-academic environment, alumni base, location, eligibility to participate in competitions, syllabus, practical exposure, and placements, then you should consider IMT Ghaziabad. Marketing is the forte of IMT Ghaziabad, which is a well-respected institution in the industry with a sizable alumni base that can assist you with placements and career growth. Hope this helps.

Being an alum of IMT Ghaziabad, I will just give some facts through personal experience as it's a matter of your career. Though I don't know much about the quality of education and placements at IIM Udaipur, the quality of education at IMT-G is decent but could be better. Placements overall at IMT-G are average, but still could be improved. The faculty is good, and the infrastructure of the college is also commendable, with good access to a vast reading material in the library, which remains open till late night. However, certain areas regarding a few subjects could use improvement. IMT-G is reputed for majors in Marketing, but the batch size is quite large (overall 600–650). IMT used to be among the top colleges around 7 years back but is slowly losing that status. Even though the placement committee tries its best, it can be challenging to place 100% of the students. When not all students are placed, the question of asking about average salary does not arise if you don't have a job in hand. Ultimately, circumstances can lead to students being debarred due to low scores or other reasons.

IIM Udaipur’s MBA program costs around 22 lakhs for two years, which is a significant investment, especially considering the average placement package of about 19.5 lakhs. While it has a vibrant campus life and good faculty, the placement scenario isn’t as strong as you'd expect from an IIM, with some internships offering very low stipends. On the other hand, IMT Ghaziabad's PG Diploma in Management (Marketing) usually provides better ROI with potentially higher average packages and a more established brand in marketing. If you're looking for a solid career in marketing and better financial returns, IMT Ghaziabad might be the smarter choice. However, if you value the IIM brand and a broader management curriculum, IIM Udaipur could still be worth it, especially if scholarships are available.

IIM Udaipur and IMT Ghaziabad both offer solid management programs, but they cater to different experiences. IIM Udaipur has a structured curriculum with a strong emphasis on research and a vibrant campus life filled with events and clubs, fostering a good network. However, their placements are a bit underwhelming compared to their reputation, with average packages around 19.5 lakh. On the other hand, IMT Ghaziabad specializes in marketing and has a more established brand, which can lead to better placement opportunities in that field. If you are leaning towards a general MBA with a rich campus experience, IIM Udaipur is a good pick, but if you want a focused marketing diploma with potentially better job prospects, IMT Ghaziabad would be the way to go. Personally, I would opt for IMT Ghaziabad for its brand recognition and targeted curriculum.

In my opinion, you should go for IIM Udaipur. Branding is one of the most important aspects of business, and the same holds for education as well. Though the new IIMs might not be in the top niche presently, they have a very high brand value and potential associated with them. It's an entirely different feeling to study at IIM. It's like "If you are being offered a seat in the spaceship, never ask which seat." Rest you have to take the final call. I hope that helps.
