Hostels at DTU are definitely better than those at NITs.
Overall, you'll have a great time staying there!
I might not be the best person to answer this since I was a day scholar, but here’s what I’ve gathered! :D
Overall, it's a good experience. Welcome to DTU! Good luck!! :)
I’m currently studying at DTU in the economics program, and I can say the main campus hostel is quite decent. It has all the essential facilities, and the environment is pretty lively with around 2000 students around. Plus, the proximity to classes saves time. If you prefer a more independent experience, private hostels are an option, but I think the main campus hostel gives you a good mix of comfort and community, especially when you’re new to college life.
Honestly, I think staying in the DTU main campus hostel is a solid choice. I’m in my second year here, and the hostel has been convenient for attending classes and participating in campus activities like Engifest. The dorms are decent, and you get to interact with students from various branches, which is a huge plus. Private hostels might offer more privacy, but the main campus vibe is something you won’t want to miss, especially in your first year.
As a current student at DTU, I can say that the main campus hostel is pretty good. The facilities are adequate, and living there makes it easy to access classes and campus events. I’ve heard mixed reviews about private hostels, mainly about the cost and distance from college. If you're okay with a bit of noise and want to be in the heart of everything, I’d recommend the DTU hostel. Plus, you get to be part of the vibrant campus life, which is super important in your college years!
