IIM Udaipur has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. One year in, and it has been a transformational journey. The institute's focus on entrepreneurship, rural and global immersion truly sets it apart. Values and transparency are key components that resonate in all IIMU-related activities.
The student bodies (clubs and committees) provide ample opportunities for every individual to apply knowledge gained in the classroom. The management offers full support in every possible way. With numerous initiatives by clubs/committees and campus businesses always on the horizon, IIMU is definitely the place to be.
The feeling of being part of this legacy is the biggest motivation.
Thank you, IIM Udaipur!!!
These questions never have a one-size-fits-all answer. It all depends on the options available for MBA aspirants.
After BLACKI and IIM Shillong, when we discuss the 2nd Gen IIMs, the top 3 are IIM UDAIPUR, IIM RAIPUR, and IIM Trichy. The average placements for these three are in the range of 20 — 24 Lakh per annum for the batch of 2021–23.
In other aspects, IIM Udaipur boasts excellent infrastructure, a brilliant pool of faculty members, and several impressive international collaborations.
If you’re not getting into BLACKI, IIM Shillong, SPJIMR, FMS, NITIE, IIFT DELHI, ISB HYDERABAD, JBIMS, or XLRI JAMSHEDPUR, then IIM Udaipur is certainly one of the best options in the next tier.
All the best!
Doing an MBA from IIM Udaipur has its pros and cons. The curriculum is pretty solid and similar to other top IIMs, which is great. In the first year, everyone studies the same courses, and then you can choose electives in the second year, allowing you to tailor your education. I found the subjects easy to pass if you pay attention in class. The total fee is around 22 lakhs, and there are some scholarships, but mostly for reserved categories. Campus life is vibrant, with tons of activities and festivals celebrated together. Just be prepared for additional expenses because parties and events can really add up!
Saw this question. Had to answer! My experience at IIM Udaipur has been fantastic. Why, you ask?
So, IIM Udaipur is definitely good for an MBA. Many students converted CAP IIMs and IITs but chose IIM U for its global ranking. It is also the fastest-growing IIM. Still miss IIM U!
IIM Udaipur is a mixed bag. The campus life is lively and engaging, with 34 clubs and a lot of social events like Solaris and TEDx. You’ll definitely make connections here. The course is structured well, and the exams are not too difficult if you study. But the fees are steep at 22 lakhs, and I’ve noticed that the placement stats don’t quite match the hype of IIMs like A or B. It’s a new IIM, so the brand value isn’t as strong yet. If you’re serious about your career and can handle the costs, it could be worth it.
