In my opinion, MNNIT Allahabad offers a solid experience with great placement opportunities, especially in tech, boasting a high average package of 19.7 LPA and over 90% placement rate, which is impressive. The campus life is vibrant, with numerous clubs and fests, but the faculty can be hit or miss. On the other hand, PEC Chandigarh has a good curriculum aligned with NEP2020 and solid internship opportunities, particularly with tech giants, but the placement scene seems more competitive. Personally, I would lean towards MNNIT Allahabad for its strong placement record and lively campus life, but if you're inclined towards electronics and want to be in a tech-centric environment, PEC could be a better fit. Ultimately, it depends on your career interests and which field excites you more.

MNNIT Allahabad offers impressive placement rates with over 90% of students getting placed, and the average package is around 19.7 LPA, making it a strong contender for job prospects, especially in core engineering. However, PEC Chandigarh also has good placement opportunities, particularly with tech companies like Microsoft and Amazon, although the number of core job placements might be less competitive. If you are inclined towards a career in biotechnology, MNNIT's focus on industrial aspects in its curriculum gives it an edge. For those leaning towards electronics and coding, PEC might be the better choice due to its connections with tech giants. Ultimately, if you're more interested in biotechnology and solid core placements, go for MNNIT Allahabad; if electronics and tech excites you, PEC Chandigarh could be the right fit.

Both MNNIT Allahabad and PEC Chandigarh offer solid educational foundations, but when it comes to fees and ROI, MNNIT seems to have the edge. The tuition fee at MNNIT is significantly lower, especially with their scholarship options that can waive up to 100% of tuition for low-income families, making it a more financially viable option. In terms of placement, MNNIT has a higher average package of 19.7 LPA and a strong placement rate, while PEC, although good, has a more competitive job market with big names but not as high packages on average.

If you're looking for the smarter financial choice and want to maximize your investment in education, MNNIT Allahabad's B.Tech in Biotechnology would be the better pick, especially for those with budget constraints. However, if you're more inclined towards electronics and have a solid coding background, PEC Chandigarh is also a good option.

Advantages -

  • There's a competitive spirit and an atmosphere of exceptional creativity that will keep you engaged and learning.
  • The reputation of the college, especially for the Computer Science branch, is outstanding. This attracts top start-ups and multinational firms for placements, so all you need to do is focus on your studies.
  • The coding culture here is extraordinary. While academics may not emphasize programming much, CC Clubs highlight its importance, which is beneficial for placements.
  • Although 75% attendance is mandatory as per law, most professors are lenient. You might get by with 60% or even 50% attendance. However, a few are strict and won't accept anything below 74%.
  • Technical fests are excellent. If you participate sincerely, you'll gain a wealth of knowledge in both management and technology.
  • The senior culture is one of the best aspects here. They are genuinely helpful. Many students have learned just as much from seniors as they have from academics.
  • There are numerous other clubs and activities that provide additional opportunities for growth and learning.
