Both LPU for B.Tech in Civil Engineering and GEU for B.Tech in Computer Science have their strengths, but they cater to different interests. LPU offers a solid curriculum with a friendly faculty-to-student ratio and impressive internship opportunities, especially in civil engineering, which could lead to better government job prospects. On the other hand, GEU focuses on computer science, which is a booming field with high demand in tech companies. If you’re inclined towards civil engineering and value a supportive campus life, LPU might be the better pick for you. Conversely, if you’re excited about coding and technology, GEU could open doors to lucrative tech careers. Personally, I’d lean toward LPU for its resources and focus on civil engineering, especially given the current growth in that sector.

CSE is definitely better at Graphic Era compared to LPU. You will face more challenges with placements at LPU because there are no fixed seat limits. Anyone can take admission there, even students with just 50% marks—no criteria at all (so many students!).

In contrast, Graphic Era has fixed seats, and you'll find better students there (minimum 75% criteria). Placement-wise, Graphic Era is superior to LPU, especially for CSE and IT branches.

If you want good placements in a positive atmosphere, go for Graphic Era (Dehradun campus). However, if you want to enjoy your four years, pursue a higher degree, and aren't focused on placements, then LPU (Phagwara, Punjab) is the way to go.

Going for B.Tech Civil Engineering in LPU offers a strong ROI with high placement rates and extensive scholarship options, making it a smart financial choice if you're looking at government job prospects, especially since the highest package has reached 15 lakhs. Meanwhile, B.Tech Computer Science Engineering in GEU might provide good opportunities too, but the focus on placements isn't as strong as in LPU. If you're more inclined towards tech and software, GEU could be suitable, but for a more stable and potentially lucrative government career, LPU's Civil Engineering program seems like the better investment. Go for LPU if you want solid job security and financial support through scholarships.

Hi! CSE is a fantastic branch with a consistently rising demand. Organizations are putting in significant effort to ensure their students secure good placements.

Here’s what I can share about LPU:

  • LPU boasts experienced, well-trained faculty who stay updated through regular faculty development programs.
  • The vast infrastructure supports all activities effectively.
  • Seminars and workshops are conducted by industry experts and alumni, keeping students informed about market trends.
  • Students receive training in niche technologies like SAP, ORACLE, and GOOGLE, giving them an edge over competitors.
  • Full-time internships and on-job training opportunities are provided by major tech companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Bosch.
  • LPU has a dedicated School of Professional Enhancement that focuses on logical reasoning, aptitude, verbal ability, and soft skills, shaping students in all aspects.
  • Placement drives feature companies like Amazon, Bosch, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, and NIIT.
  • Industry immersion is evident through guest lectures by industry experts.
  • Mock placement drives and pre-placement classes are also conducted.

Overall, LPU offers a robust environment for students pursuing B.Tech in Civil Engineering!

LPU's B.Tech Civil Engineering program offers solid internship opportunities with companies like Accenture and Tata, and boasts an impressive placement rate of around 80%, with packages reaching up to 15 lakhs. In contrast, GEU's B.Tech Computer Science Engineering program may also provide good prospects, but the details on placements and internships are less clear. Given the rising demand for civil engineers and the strong support LPU provides through scholarships and a well-structured faculty, I'd recommend LPU for those interested in stability and government job prospects. However, if you're passionate about tech and coding, GEU could still be a great fit, just know that the career outcome data is less robust.
