Things You should know before getting into Techno Main Saltlake

Unlike the Govt colleges, TMSL doesn't provide any internship. Hopefully someday, they will update this necessity in their infrastructure, The best part I like about my college is the FSP course which are really helpful in getting jobs. College will train you fair enough to be skilled.

According to my rank I got the stream AEIE( applied electronics and instrumentation engineering) which is basically a combination course of electrical, computer and Instrumentation. The subjects taught in this stream are really interesting, include both theoretical and mathematics mainly. Job scopes are okay as considered to CSE & IT streams of pvt colleges in Kolkata, as per the present scenario.

In my 4 years course session, the total course fee is 4.2 lakhs. Each semester the fees has to be paid in advance (amount around 50 thousands per sem, differs from sem to sem). Before each semester an amount of 1200/- has to be paid to the Makaut through the college for exam registration. For me, Yes the amount is a bit expensive, however it's normal compared to other private engineering colleges in Kolkata.

College doesn't provide any loans. The bank provides you the loan based on your results, the 1st sem along fees Along with the admission fees has to be paid by your own, the rest of the 7 semesters will be given by the loan providing bank. College has nothing to do with any loan facility. Same for scholarships, scholarships will be provided the government if you fit for all the criterias. Another scheme is there names TFW( tuition fees webber) which reduces the total course fees approximately to half if you Father's income is below a certain range and you can prove that while physical counseling

TMSL college provides you with A graded labs, and best infrastructures. There are plenty choices of extra curricular activities. Sports Tournaments are organized in the fest seasons. clubs like Geekonix, Anakhronos, SPIE etc ate there. Geekonix organizes plenty of interactive talk shows, and the largest fest EDGE Anakhronos organizes cultural fests SPIE is the only international chapter in the college, which is a US based student chapter related to studies on optics and photonics and many more, can't be summed up here in this write up

Alumnis have always been a strong and encouraging part of TMSL. They are really friendly, in your department, the alumni seniors always make you feel like close friends. Their suggestions are extremely valuable as they are quite acquainted with the present corporate sectors and market.

I appeared for the WBJEE, ranked 16k, and accordingly arranged the college preferences in the counseling. After the 2nd round of the counseling I was selected for this college, then I again rolled up for the final round, yet the results were same. And I m satisfied with it.
