Course Curriculum Overview

This is a management integrated engineering branch. So those who wish to go for mba can surely try this branch. Exames really good and covers almost everything. Most of time exams are really challenging.

Placement Experience

Our college got good placement cell and cell was able to find job for more than 85 % of students last years.The number kofcompanies visting our college has increased to 55 last year. Usaully tech gaints like TCS, MRF, CTS, Infosys. Etc would be coming every year

College Events

There are many events going around in college for students. 1.dyuthi - it is an national level college technical fest conducted every year one of the best in south India. 2.conflunce- its an program conducted to showcase the artistic skill of students

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since this is an government college the fees are really low. It only comes around 1 by tenth of other private colleges around kerala. So the fee structure is really feasible. So students from every community will able to meet their expenses

College got many scholarship s 1. Egrants - this scholarship is for the backward class students this is available yearly basis 2. Prime minister's scholarship- this one is available for the students whose parents' worked in military

Campus Life

Our college got good facilities compared to others around kerala. Lab - most of lab contains old to new machines which makes every students acknowledged. Sport- every year college conduct college level sports.

The alumini network here os really good. Alumini had been an helping hand to all the students around here. They have show their support by sponsoring and also sharing their experience to students.

Admission

I scored a rank around five thousand in keam 2016. And i applied for this course in government Engineering college thrissur.As per the rank allotments where conducted in each college all around kerala and as my turn for production Engineering was first itself i got here the first allotment itself.

Faculty

Our faculty are mainly our alumnis who have gone for higher degrees in IITs and NITs and their class are really helpful and good. Each faculty got an jndustrial exposure for atleast 5 to 6 years and more so they are able to convey their views and experience to students.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

If you want to be in a controlled environment, focus on academics, make use of some good placement opportunities, and get somewhere career-wise I would be suggesting Amrita University.
