Remarks

Although there is not much language problem and the course follows strict english instruction but I believe that people coming from outside Bengal might find it a little difficult within peer circle to communicate in Bengali which is the regional language

Entrance Preview

I took WBJEE and scored around 3000 rank and the limit for selection was upto 5000 rank only. I took admission to this college because this was older amongst the private Engg colleges in West Bengal and was having visiting faculties of premier institute like Jadavpur Univ, plus I was getting my favorite stream "Electronics & Telecom Engg" in this score.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

When we took admission we were affiliated to Kalyani University (W.B) an oldest Engg university in W.B. We were following the curriculum of that particular Univ however, sooner we joined we came to know about the change of affiliation for upcoming batches to WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology) which is having grade system and have most advanced curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship program at our college however, there had been several off campus and on campus drive happened during and after our passing year.

Placement Experience

4.5

Its competent with most of the engg colleges most of the companies names were like TCS, CTS, STNL, Tata Telecom, Wipro, Siemens, Ericsson, Infosys etc.

College Events

4

There were great and magnanimous annual fests during our tenure and used to have great celebrities like Shaan, Nachiketa, Cactus performing live on the stage.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible compared to most of the engg colleges outside west bengal i would prefer other friends study from this college rather than spend hefty amount in places like B'lore and Hyderabad.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not hear of scholarship although there used to be loan facilities for some needy students it was all helped by conselling drive.

Campus Life

4

We had a football ground a T.T and carom room and we used to have several competitions organized by our student union and college there was not any gender, race, religion ethnicity during our tenure there was ban on "Ragging" by Govt of India and we used to feel a less pinch on that.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

My home was near by hence I haven't opted for hostel however, there were other friends and peers who used to stay at the nearby mess and food were mostly North Indian and Bengali pattern food, but you can ask for other options.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a good alumi program we used to get invites for some alumnus program and contribute towards developing our college and helps in placement of our upcoming students.

Exam Structure

According to WBUT currently ( a very latest and advanced exam structure). The labs were not frequent during 1st two year and later on become frequent due to specialization.

Faculty

4.5

They were all very nice and competent some of them were full time prof from Jadavpur University but they used to visit our college because of healthy relationship between our VC and VC of Jadavpur University. Our college was started at the campus of Jadav

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
