Walchand College of Engineerimg is a very old and prestigious institute glorifying and marking excellence to the careers and future of several students over years and years and still counting. The institite has a bucket of options to explore, innovate and excel in life. The Enterpreneurship cell promotes enterpreneurs and innovatord to bring out their ideas and help them build their business.

The course curriculum is regulary updated and revised for the benefit of the students. The course curriculum is revised by a committe of staff, experts and Industry Personells. Every year the course revision meet is held for the same and the course is revised each gear with new technologies added to it.

The placement concern in the institute is very less as we have 95 to 100 percent of placement per year from the last 15 years and still counting. The minimum offer ranges from 3.15 to 4.5 and the maximum offer ranges from 34 LPA to 45 LPA. Internships are also provided in few selected companies to few selwcted students.

Due to the presence of different departmental clubs and bon departmental clubs the number of events in yhe institute are at a great hike. The major event held in the institute is the Annual Social Gathering and Vision. Vision is an event in which National Level Competitions amd workshops are held and conducted. They provide an exposure to the students at a great extent.

The fees structure is similiar to the other Government Engineering Colleges like COEP. There is no change in the stricture for Fees in both the institutes. The fees structure is feasible as the facilities provided are updated and to the mark. There is an increment of fees by 10 percent per year. The scholarships provided by the institute are the regular scholarships provide by the state and central government. Students canavail education loan with ease aa it is among one of the most prestigious institutes in Maharashtra. The institute has ranked third in the state and no doubt will reach to the top soon.

The extracurricular activities in the institute extend to a great level. Their are several clubs which add on to the extra curricular activities like trainings and workshops. Also worksops are conducted by teachers and experts from the industry to gloom to new oppurtunities.

The alumni network is very strong and spread all over the world. Most of the alumnis of the institute have their own Companies or are at Tech Giants of the Industry. The senior students are very helpful and provide help on time to time basis. There is no ragging at all. The seniors treat their juniors like their own family.

The admissions are controlled by the State run DTE. The students first need to register for CET and then appear for it. After recieving the scores of CET the student needs to register on the DTE portal and then fill in the details and confirm with any FC. After review the details are confirmed with ARC. Once confirmed they have to fill the option form indicating preferences of institute selection. If a institute is alloted then the student has to go to the ARC and confirm their admission.
