Everything is almost upto the mark but you may face some problem with your food habits you might not like the mess food because its fish almost every day of the year as bengalis live around you can find good food outside the campus at nominal rates

It's a semester system 4yrs=8 semesters Each and every semester has 30 marks internal and 70 marks external exam in which the paper is set by central university which is WBUT West Bengal it's a good course to join

The placements are good as far as I know they might not be 100percent but at least 70 percent gets through campus other than that they might arrange outsourcing placements with companies and college does provide internship in surrounding companies like IOCL,TATA CHEMICALS,HALDIA PETROCHEMICALS, EXIDE,BOC

College conducts different events every year it conducts cultural and annual fest there are various other events according to the departments you are in which gives you opportunity to get interaction with different people as well as companies you might work in future

Everything is better than almost half of the college's in india admission fee hostel and mess charges as well as semester charges is around 57 to 60 thousand per semester mess charges excluded 7200 is the hostel charge which is included in semester fee.

Everything is available whether it's scholarships which has different categories some are provided by the college some by the central university which includes university topper scholarships as well as college topper scholarships and it has scholarships for ST/SC/OBC

There are different labs according to different departments workshop for mechanical student's mechanical engineering has a club which builds race cars same with electrical dept and all other dept and sports facility is good HIT won the intra college football tournament last year there are many more sport's facilities and gym and basketball court as well.

The hostel infrastructure is very good I must say it's excellent it's home away from home you might not like the mess as it's totally bengali food but there are food suppliers or home delivery who delivers it to hostel itself and there are small hotels at every step right outside college gate.

You can find a lot of alumni in different parts of india as well as in HALDIA where the college is itself located there are around 7 to 8 world renowned companies and it has alumni from our college they can help you.

Through WBJEE then went for counseling and on the basis of merit list reached the college and filled up the required forms for admission as well as hostel and mess which was very good when I took admission.

The college has good faculty members but it's totally upto you on how you respond to your mentors which is why you need to have a good relationship with each and every teacher who knows the one you don't like much can be your mentor in the future.
