Life at NMIMS

You will get frustrated here because of the monotonous life of this campus and all the stupid rules. Think twice before choosing this campus. I would again say that parents please do not fall pray of the beauty and the so called facilities of the campus trust me it's an hoax.

First year subjects are common for all students. There is a change or modification in subjects every year for students pursuing different branches according to national requirements. The exam structure for 2018-19 is 50 marks as internals for each subject and a 100 marks term end paper for the external subjects which is reduced to 50 marks for the final evaluation. So, 50 Internal + 50 external = 100 marks and GPA to a 4.0 Scale.

If you opt for Btech in Computer science and EXTC and if you are good in study you will definitely get more than 1 packages?. Placements are quite good it has 100% placement record provided if you dont have any backlog in any subject. average package offered is 3.5 lacks and highest is 10 to 12 lakhs.

During odd semester you will have Aiesc Youth to Speak Forum(YSF) followed by Narsee Monjee Model United Nations (NMMUN) followed by the TECH FEST of the college i.e. Ambiora. During even semester you will have Cultural fest i.e Protsahan and Sports fest i.e. Flavium followed by TedX. Flavium takes place for 1 whole month and you will find everyone roaming around the campus with department Jersey. There are lot of forum and department events and conferences too. You will love all the fest if you actually show interest in them.

For Shirpur campus the fees for IInd year is 1,25,000/- annually which includes stay, food, sports and other recreational and co curricular Activities. The tution fees is 1,50,000/- annualy for four years. There is no other expense other than the activities and events which are held for the students.

NMIMS ( NMIMS - Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai ) Scholarships and Funding Central Sector Scheme of scholarship for college and university students- Central Sector Scheme of scholarship for college and university students offers financial support to the economically weaker students from general, SC, ST communities and physically handicapped students. Eligibility- Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in class 10+2 or equivalent and have family income less than INR 6 Lakhs per annum, pursuing regular courses and not availing of any other scholarship scheme. The rate of scholarship is INR 1000/- per month at graduation level for the first three years and INR 2000/- per month at post graduation level. Students pursuing professional courses would get INR 2000/- per month in the 4th and 5th year. The scholarship is paid for 10 months in an academic year.

It is like living in a five star jail, also no exposure to outside world that affects a lot if you are planning for further studies. sports facility is quite good. Here we have 1 big badminton and 1 basketball court, a big football ground and another ground for cricket, Also a volleyboll court and 2 long tennis court. The labs are brilliant.

Hostel Rating 4.0/5.0 This campus is smoking and alcohol free campus. If you are caught doing any act which violates the college rules and regulations you will have to face a severe punishment. The hostel are the best in Maharashtra as well as in India. Mess food are great but sometimes twice in a month you may not like it. The mess provides you with veg food but on payment basis you can get egg items.

The crowd is good you can easily gel with the people here, mainly the crowd is from mumbai, delhi, MP, rajasthan and surat. The seniors are very friendly and the campus is ragging free. Also the staff members are very helpful.

I didn't appeared for the entrance exam that is NPAT which is an official entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate Degree and Integrated Degree Programs, So i got admission on the basis of my class 12th marks.

Every department are being looked by great Head of department. All the HoD's are PhD holders and author of many books. The faculty are brilliant in terms of academics? and non academics?. Accepting the fact yes there are some teachers who are strict also. My department faculty were the best that's what I felt. They will be more than a teacher for you.
