Remarks

Overall college is good. It has a few cons like it is 2 km from the metro and infrastructure is not good at all. Also, the administrative block is not so cooperative.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good. They take an exam on a semester basis. Three years consist of six semesters and semester exams take place in November- December, and May-June. They are teaching us things like tally and other computerized accounting software which might be helpful.

Placement Experience

No, I haven't availed any placement or internship as I'm a first-year student. But the placement cell of the college is quite good.

College Events

We celebrate the Annual fest AADYA in the month of January. In which the NSS team plays the most vital role in decoration and putting stalls for various NGOs. Also, the other college societies do their small events making students busy and have a lot of fun.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of BCom Hons is Rs 8495 which is very nominal and everyone can afford that. You might have to spend on autos as the college is two kilometres away from the metro station (Bhikaji cama place). The price of the canteen is reasonable. But the price of PGs in Delhi is quite costly.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I didn't avail of any scholarship as the fees of the college is so nominal Rs 8495 for BCom Hons that no one is required to take any type of loan.

Campus Life

The campus of our college is the smallest in Delhi University but that doesn't matter. We have various events happening in different societies every week which helps us building confidence and scratch our brain for some new ideas for the college events.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are quite helpful. They are always there to help you with your problems and also the student union staff is really good which of course are seniors.

Admission

I visited the College and then went to the auditorium where the admission process was going on. There was nothing to worry about. Firstly they provided me with an admission form that I filled and attested the documents required. Then they verified my mark sheet of class 12. I took admission on 9 August 2019.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college is average. Some of the teachers are really good and hardworking while others don't want to take the class. Don't want to teach, they will come fifteen minutes late and leave us fifteen minutes earlier in the one hour lecture.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

Honest review of DCAC

So I applied to a lot of college what happened really was there was an error in the list and due to that I wasn't able to get into Shivaji College in the round one and yeah I was getting an economics honors from there because my marks was actually higher than that but that just life you know destiny works like that way and I got this college and I am pretty much like happy now that I am in this program I would say II did get rejection from a lot of colleges like and what what was the main thing was one I made list pretty wrong 2nd was my marks weren't really great as well I would say take care of your health before CUET etc because it would really really matter at that time The admission process of the college is simple that you simply give CVT and that most of the time happens...Read More

DCAC and It's Crowd

I gave Cuet exam to take admission in this college. This college was on 7th rank in my preferences list as this college is not.much popular and as a outsider I knew only few college of Delhi University but because of normalisation process my marks cut down from 720 to 689 out of 800 which resulted my admission in DCAC.
