Course Curriculum Overview

Government engineering College Thrissur is under APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala technical University ( KTU ). Ktu is a all kerala University for technical since 2015. Earlier ktu exam give more important for theory but now exam give equal importance for theory as well as practical.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunity is high in our college.last year about 450 students placed in various companies. reliance,tcs digital, Infosys,Ey,MRF are the few companies coming to our college.our college provide intership for students.

College Events

Almost all events are celebrating in our college.celebrating onam Holi etc.also our college parents motor show, which is very famous among all kerala.it is the best student organisation program in South India

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is fully according to government.it is a government college.so college fee is very low compared to other. private college have high fee but here it is low. only exam fee and low ptsa fee is needed.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are lot of scholarship for students in our college. Lot of government scholarship are there in college. Egrantz is best one among this.and also scholarship given by pta and also by alumni association.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities like cricket football basketball volleyball all are there. sports competition conduct in our college. Inter zone ,zone,inter department, inter year, association sports, premier league, super league are conducting.

Hostel Facilities

For boys there are 5 college hostel and for girls also have 5 college hostel. almost all students can accommodate in hostel. Fee of college hostel is very very low compared to other hostel.good food and infrastructure is there.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni association in our college is very active.alumni association provide education scholarship for desire students. Also alumni association is very helpful for students to get placement in various companies.

Admission

Admission only through merit based on keam exam rank.keam exam is for 12 students.keam exam consist physics chemistry and maths.physics and chemistry together a exam and maths separate exam.mark consider together of the both exam.

Faculty

All faculty are well knowledge. they pass PG and phd.most of the faculty complete their education from IITs.so their education level is very high.helping mentality of faculty is appreciated.both practical knowledge and experience is high.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
