My journey From introvert to ambivert.

There are many committee in our college for technical cultural literature purposes they provide a wide opportunity for you to join the committee in which you have keen interest.These committee enhances your communication skills and make you more confident and smart. There is also attendance Barrier that is for internal exams your attendance should be 75%or more than this(it's upto you whether you consider this as positive or negative point).

Engineering is not a cakewalk. Engineering academics maintains a proper balance between theoretical and practical knowledge.The course is of 4 years and each year consists of two semesters.There is total 8 semesters.In first year the subjects are same for all the Branches.From second year you will enter to your specific stream and have to study core subjects related to your stream.Each semester there is 2 internal exam 2 assignments for each subjects and one final semester exam along with the viva and practical.There is also mini projects from 2nd year.

Placements are Good if you belong to CSE,IT and ECE but for the other branches placements are not so good.There is no core company for branches like civil mechanical electrical etc.Sone of the students of this branches get hired in IT companies while other remains unplaced.Over 70+ companies comes for hiring every year.This companies consists MNCs, start-ups and also some Kolkata based start-ups.Some of the MNCs that comes to our college are TCS,CTS,Wipro, Deloitte, Microsoft,Thoughtworks,Amdocs,Cerner,CGI,macafee,Informatica etc.In my time there is 95% placement in my department.

There are many events celebrated in our college.Some of the events are for the whole college and some are department based.First discuss about the college events.There are many events like cultural, Technical literary social present in our college.For each Event there is an individual group to handle these activities.Like for technical event the name of the Event is Edge.This is the 2nd largest technical event of west Bengal.You can be the member of any of the following group according to your knowledge and interest.It helps you to groom alot.Edge conducts both enter college and intra college completions and there is cash prize for each competition.Edge also calls celebrities like the personalities from basic background who have achieved alot in their Carrier by hardwork and dedication.It also arranges comedy night in which they call famous standup comedians.Some of the comedians which had came to our college are viswa kalyan rath,zakir khan,rahul subramanyam etc.It also conducts walkathon for child welfare.Just like edge anakhronous is our cultural committee which conducts band nights,concerts in which they call famous singers to perform.Eclectica is our literary committee which conducts open mics,story writings,quiz,drama etc. There are also department wise events involved which you will get to Know once you will enter the college.

In my opinion the fee is comparatively lower than any other private colleges.Fee is slightly higher in 1st year and then it gradually decreases.In first year you have to pay 63k in first sem and 57k in 2nd sem. After that in second third and fourth year you have to pay 40k,39k,41k respectively. There is additional rs1200 which you have to pay before semester exams these are examination fee.

As per my knowledge there is no scholarship provided.I have not availed any load facility or scholarship so i have a very little idea about this.As per i know taking education loan is not so tough.You will easily get education loan.There is also some rebate in fee for obcs and the people who have domicile of west bengal(I don't know what is the criteria of this)

As i have already discussed above the various extracurricular activities that takes places in our college.Edge organises computer games competition like pubg,CounterStrike,mini militia and there is also cash prize for the winners.So it is good for the people who are good in computer games.For the people who are good in physical games anakhronous organises games like badminton chess football etc.There is also a cricket team of each department and TPL(Techno premier league)happens every year.There is also department wise spirts competition.Like for our Information technology department there is De-atheletico.

There is no hostel in this college.There are alot of pgs available near the college.you can find pgs at affordable prices.Pgs are available at walking distance from the college.And as the college is situated in Saltlake there is also not any problem of transportation.

The seniors are very helpful.They provide a proper guidance on how to prepare for practicals or viva exams.They also share there experience about the placements.They give us a clear view about how to prepare for placements.

There are two ways to get admission in colleges of west Bengal.First way is to get admission on the basis of all india rank of jee mains.And the second way through which i got admission is by giving WBJEE exam.It is a state based entrance exam for the engineering colleges of west bengal.It consists government,semi-government and private colleges.After the results are out you will get the rank you have scored according to this rank the counseling starts.In counseling you have to fill colleges of your choice along with the branches you want in the respective college.The order of the options you have filled will be from most preferred to least preferred.I had secured 9075 rank in WBJEE and i got Information technology in Techno Main Saltlake.

Faculties are very good and very humble and helpful by nature.You can asks doubts from them as many times as you want.If you want some extra time for the doubts or for the classes that you have missed, you can always ask from them.They try there best to clear your doubts by giving extra time to you.
