Remarks
I think i already have discussed almost all Positives, but Negatives are also necessary to mention. 1. The college fees are bit expensive. 2. Internships were limited. 3. Placements were less as compared to other branches. 4. The food in mess was disastrous at my time. 5. The preliminary exams were too casual. 6. Submissions were never a trouble and students used to submit them on the orals.
Course Curriculum Overview
So there are 8 semesters consisting of 5 subject each. The first year course is similar to all the departments. The exam pattern for 1st and 2nd year was same as 50 marks for online exam and 50 for offline. From 3rd year, there were insem and endsem exams of 30 and 70 marks respectively which were offline. From 2nd year year there were oral exams for at least 2 subjects each semester. The 6 th semester consisted of a seminar and the 4th year consisted of a project.Talking about my opinion, there should have been a choice for choosing electives from 3rd year only otherwise, the structure was good.
Placement Experience
The college do have the good opportunities for placements and job, mostly for ITs and Computer students. But the college did help students who desperately were in search of a job.College provides internship each year at the 3rd academic year of course. But due to the limitations of company offering internship on the number of interns,i was not able to attend the same.
College Events
So there are numerous events college celebrates every year. Starting with the Sinhgad Carnival,Puroshattam Karandak,Navratri Utsav,SSC Events,Sports Events,Holi Festival,DJ Nights and The Most Precious and Biggest event in any pune college "The Sinhgad Karandak.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At my time the categorised fee structure per year was- OPEN-102000 rs OBC-51000 rs SC/ST-8000 rs TFWS-10000rs. If you are a good at entrance you should definitely try for this college on TFWS basis for the kind of education and the personality training it offers.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarships on the basis of cast and economy such as OBC and EBC respectively.I dont know about the loan facility but you can pay the fees in installments, even the Examination fees. The college also arranges progran some post graduation program Universities to fund Topper students in further studues
Campus Life
There are Art Circles and Drama Circles for the art loving people who want to showcase their talent. Their are numerous computer labs in each department as well as in the library. You dont have worry about the sports when you have one of the biggest Playground in Pune.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel were really roomy enough to accommodate four students in each room. There were facilities such as 24 hrs hot water and electricity, cleanliness everyday,WiFi facility. The warden were very quick in their actions if you have any problem with your services.
Alumni/Alumna
Their is no problem of ragging in the college. The kind of environment in which student lives,he is adopted to helping juniors or his mates. And it is very convenient to have senior's advice with you.You just have make some senior friends. The most precious help of them is at the time of submission. My senior friend even helped me in selecting the electives and what extra courses should I learn.
Admission
I got 91 percentile in PCM and 90 percentile in JEE,on the basis of both the scores i got this college.I applied for the civil engineering. I got the college in councilling round in OPEN category. I heard about the college staff in here, thats why applied. Talking about the admission process,it was quite easy, there were 3-4 sections and finally after paying the fee you get the roll number and about the 1st day of college.
Faculty
The faculty was too supportive in every aspect. They were good at clearing the doubts as well as for the extra lectures. They were more indulged in student for taking part in workshops, seminars, etc. Their participation in teaching and practical was remarkable, even the lab technicians, assistants were kind enough to help students in every subject.
