Remarks
You shouldn't expect your teacher to teach you anything, you'll mostly have to study by your own. But,there are teachers who are very helpful and can approach for any queries. The infrastructure is the best the state.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is well planned and systematic. The syllabus is prepared based on the outcomes ( Outcome based education). All subjects will have around 6 modules with a series exam after two modules, followed by an university exam.
Placement Experience
Placements here are the best in the state. Top recruiters include companies such as Intuit, IBM,Finastra,ABB,Bosch etc. The college does good support for any internship that we are willing to attend. There is an internship cell through which many students get placed in companies such as Nissan,Qburst etc.
College Events
The college celebrates event through out the year. Cultural fest - Dhwani, Technical fest - Drishti, 1st years fest - Disha, Department nights, Inter year competition - Sargam, and other events such as Demo week,Department technical fests etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
Students studying here are admitted mainly though scholarship basis and mostly don't have / have minimal fees. I four year course is free of cost. But some do pay a minimal fees of 6000rs per a semester, which is like the cheapest you can ever imagine.
Fees and Financial Aid
Egrantz scholarship is provided to financially backward students whi belong to the non creamy layer of the society. Girls also receive a lot of scholarships. There are many scholarships for the wards, whose parents are in defence.
Campus Life
The college is the first one in the state, so every department is carefully built and maintained. The labs and workshops here are as good as you'll see in an IIT or an NIT. There is a physical department, with indoor and outdoor sports and gym facilities which the students can avail for free. There is are labs which students can use till 9 pm for browsing. Library is well managed and is open till 9 pm.
Alumni/Alumna
There is an association named CETAA( CET Alumini Association) which comprises of all alumini. They conduct interactive sections for the student which the passouts who guide us and give us more knowledge of the industrial world outside.
Admission
I got admission by writing the Kerala entrance exam aka KEAM. The toppers of the exam mostly choose this college. The KEAM exam had two papers - 1) Physics and Chemistry paper 2) Mathematics paper. I secured a state rank of 1830, and got an opportunity to study in the Electrical department.
Faculty
The faculties here are highly educated. There are teachers who have got very good experience in the field, as well as guest lecturers. But sad to say,that many are not very approachable and you'll have to handle situations by yourself.
