My College

The college is situated in the heart of Ernakulam district of Kerala State. A big campus with a good atmosphere is the main highlight of this college.Students can enjoy the maximum of campus life here.The college is having almost all sports facilities.But till date there is no swimming pool in the college.It is a major negative remark.There is politics inside the campus.Which means the students have power to controll their college and have a voice of their own.So strikes are common in this college.It does not affect students studying in any way.Even though it is a negative remark.

Course curriculum includes semester based written exams and practical laboratory exams as well. Curriculum is good but it's not so easy to score a good mark in the exams. Each semester include 6 theory paper and 2 practical lab up to 6th sem.In the final year project and seminars will be there and we can choose some choices of subjects.

More than 40 companies are recruiting students in their companies through campus selection.Most of them are IT companies like TCS,INFOSYS,WIPRO etc.MNC's like Amazon also participates in campus selection.College does not provides internship here.Students can do it their own from other companies.

Tech fest DISHNA One of the biggest celebrations of our college.It has many programmes like workshops, exhibition,Paper presentations,Motor show and so on TEDxCUSAT - ted talks Started in this year. Many famous personalities come and interact with students.These inspiring talks have a key role in moulding the students. Art fest SARGAM Sports meet IGBC programmes Hostel fests And other celebrations like onam celebrations,DJ parties,Music concerts etc.

Fee structure is semester based.For state merit students semester fee is about 25k and for All India merit students it is about 45k. It is feasible because all other colleges are having expensive fee structure than this.

All government scholarships are available for students studying here. Community based scholarships and income based scholarships are available.College itself is not providing any scholarships or loan facilities till now.

Sports activities are pretty good here.College have football and basketball grounds and indoor stadium for other games. A multi gym is there in students amenity center.Lab facilities are also good.We have good lab for each branches with sufficient number of equipments.A small park is also there in the campus. Totally campus life is good

Our college have a good Alumni network in many parts around the globe.Famous engineers, Indian Civil service employees (IAS,IFS,IPS.) includes in this alumni list. They takes care about their college. They come here and motivate us in many functions. Some of them have initiated some scholarships for students of college who are facing financial problems.

I got admission to the college through CUSAT CAT exam.This college is a gov. owned college.It comes under the same tier of NIT colleges in India.Two types of seats are there in college.State merit(only for students of Kerala)and All India merit.The course fee of All India merit students is approximately double of State merit fee. Every one must write the CAT exam to get admission to this college.After that a centralised allotment process will be there through which students can give their choice of cources.Finally a counselling will be there before the complete admission process.

Faculties are nice. Most of them are having years of teaching experience and high degrees in the subjects.They give good support for the students in the learning process.They are happy to clear the doubts of students at any time in the college.
