NSS College of Engineering Palakkad

The college have great atmosphere and overall facilities for complete education for an engineering student. The faculties are very co-operative and are always ready to help us. The library have a great collection of books, covering all aspects of our course. The only negative remark I found is the location of the college, it is nearly 5km from nearby town, but also the distance from town provide a clam atmosphere.

The college have a great course curriculum. It covers all aspects of the course and gives us a great in-depth knowledge. The whole curriculum is divided to 8 semesters(6 month each). In each semester we have two internal examination for each subject and at the end of each semester, we have a semester examination.

The college have a placement and training cell. They provides great opportunity to get placed in many prestigious companies including many multi national companies. The placement cell also provides placement training for all pre final and final year students.

All traditional and cultural events are celebrated in our college. Festivals like onam are conducted with lots of programs and enjoyments. The college arts fest "Noopuram", is conducted every year, where students can perform their talents in various competitions. The college also has its techno-cultural fest named "Dhyksha".

The fees structure of the college is very feasible. Per year tution fess is 8210rs and exam fess would be approximately 4000rs. So, the total cost would be around 12000 - 14000 per year. Also at the time of admmision the student need to remit a admission fess, PTA fund and university fees which would cost around 20000 to 25000rs

The college provides help for getting various scholarship offered by various organisations. (Centre sector scholarship, SC/ST scholarship etc). Educational loan can be availed from any bank in the state. The college provides all necessary papers required for obtained the loan.

The college have one of the best labs in the state. All Six engineering department have their own independent labs, with each department having 4 to 5 different labs or workshops depending on the subject they teach. The college also have IOT lab to develop projects. A common networking lab is also available. The college have its ground for various sports. It includes a large multipurpose ground, cricket pitch, basketball court, volleyball courts and a gymnasium.

The infrastructure and facilities of college hostel is not so bad. But considering the hostel and mess fees, the facilities and cleanliness they provide are very low. It's good for non vegetarian students as they can get lot of food for the price they give, but for vegetarians it's difficult

The college have a great alumini association. It has various international chapters/organization. The alumni association provides great support to college and students. The alumni association have conducted in building various infrastructure in the college. And the also provides scholarships for meritorious students.

The admission to this college is based on the Rank scored in Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination. The marks from the entrance exam and the marks from plus two(physics, chemistry, mathematics) are added together and a state rank list are published. The CEE(Commissioner For entrance Examination) conducts allotment to various engineering college s in kerala based on our rank and the colleges we opt.It has 3 allotments.I got admmision to this college in my second allotment. Then the college announced a admission day, and I came with my allotment details and other documents, and I got admmision to this college.

Great Faculty. They have great knowledge, and are very co-operative. The way of teaching gives as good knowledge of our course and we get a great understating of our engineering topics. All the faculties in the college have their masters and PhD from most prestigious institutions in the country.
