HCC, one of the best college for commerce, Kolkata

All positive, no negative remark on my college. Professors are top class, also our college provide tally Erps and other computer courses at a reasonable cost, though all office staff are very helpful to us.

Bachelor of commerce is a graduation course, under graduation and one of the best course for any higher secondary passouts, many go for bba, and technical courses but doing any bachelor course under cu is worth it. The exam structure is simple, previously it was 1+1+1 structure now this is semester system, I,e. 6 semesters, 6 terms, 3 years in total.

HCC offers a huge placements for all the freshly graduated. Our college does not provide internships but they provide merit scholarships and freshers acn apply for officeworks. Overall passing with a minimum score of 55%+ number is enough to get a 15+ k job as a fresher.

Our college hosts several events. Blood donation, free eye check up, tree plantation these are social events, And college events like annual social, annual sports, annual cricket tournament, short field football, Freshers day, college fest, teachers day, ramp walk, carrom competition, debate, etc.

Previously it was 15k, for three years, its a government college so fees are affordable. 5k per year as am admission fees and extras like 1-2k for form fillip exam fees.but I'm not sure about the semester fees structure.

Our college doesn't provide internships but scholarships for university topper and sports background. Good merits, and good performance. HCC doesn't provide loan facility but there are some conssesion for economically disturbed students.

Our college has two libraries, labs for geography Hons students, and a small football ground, basketball field, common room, union room. Our college organise cricket, football tournament every year and the quality and maintanace is awesome.

Hotels, pg are not available in our college. But there are some pg, rent houses near our college so that distance students can take a room. I've never opted for hostel. But the hotels pg's nearby are good, Welly maintained and clean.

Most of the alumnus are now doing job, some in India or abroad, but seniors are best. Even there are some seniors still present in HCC union they are so friendly and helpful to all fellow students, as a senior I still get respect from my junior students.

I've got 80%+ marks so that's why I applied for this college, this college is under Calcutta University and only the merit students gets chanced in lists. According to the percentage they get selected and the lowest can go for 82% (according to current year admission list)

The faculty is one of the best faculty I've ever had, I've spent three years and its my second home. The professor's, principal, office staffs are very nice, friendly and always ready to help any fellow student.
