Our college is good as compared to the other private colleges in West Bengal. The college locally hosts the digital library, and provide the Wi-Fi connectivity with the limited usage. The labs are of A+ class with all the equipment available. The physics labs have a dark room. We have the separate labs for the different modules in chemistry.

Haldia Institute of Technology runs M.Tech course of 2-years duration in 5 disciplines. The institute also offers MBA program of 2-year duration and MC program of 3-years duration. The eligibility criteria of M. Tech program is Bachelor’s degree in B.E/B.Tech. The selection of it is done through an entrance exam of WB-PGET or GATE.

Placements in our branch are very good than other branches. The placement rate is also very good, approximately 95%. Many students got internships from college. A very large no of companies visited our college for placements like Wipro, Infosys, Buyju's and many IT companies. The highest salary packages offered are range from 12 to15 LPA, and the average salary packages offered are range from 4 to 5 LPA.

Prayukti is the biggest annual event of HIT. Other colleges also participate in this event. Other events such as Rivera, Rang Milanti, etc., are also organised. Haldia mela is a grand event where celebrities visit the college to perform.

The course fee for MBA at Haldia Institute of Technology is INR 75,000 per annum.The fee structure for B.Tech ranges from INR 80,000 per annum to INR 86,000 per annum. M.Tech course fee is INR 70,000 per annum.

Class XII pass out students of academic year 2008 to 2014, are required to obtain the renewal application blank form from the respective State Education Board and submit their renewal application form duly certified from the respective institutions to the effect that the student has secured 60 % marks in the previous exam, has 75 % attendance and not involved in any ragging activities. The certified application form is required to be submitted to his/her respective State Education Board.

HIT, Haldia takes pride in having clubs that cater to everybody's needs and having fests that are among the biggest in the continent. Students enthusiastic about sports have a lot to look forward to at HIT, Haldia with its sprawling grounds and numerous courts for the variety of sports that students play here. Technical activities are predominant on campus as well with clubs such as the Astronomy Club.

Electricity charges will be charged extra on actual based on the reading. However, for the water and common area usage of electricity charges will be divided equally among the total occupant of the block and charged accordingly based on the meter reading separately provided for water and electricity.

Senior students are likely a wealth of experience and skills to share with current students via talks and newsletters. In certain cases, this could go even further with alumni offering to practically support students in work placements and help them launch their careers.

I got admission to B. Tech course is given through WBJEE. Candidates are admitted to B. Tech LTE course on the basis of their merit in WB-JELET conducted by WBJEEB and also through JEE Mains conducted by CBSE.

There are the best faculty members in our college. They are very helpful, well-qualified and have good knowledge of academics. Their teaching quality is the best. Teaching methods used by them are very best and easy. The student to faculty ratio is good. Teachers provide industry exposure. Teachers provide the best notes for us to gain the best knowledge.
