Remarks
Languages problem for non-Bengala peoples. No problem for accommodation lots of college owned hostels available. Apart from that you can also rent flat of your own choice in the locality. And also there are lots of places to chill. Like sunset point, riverside, city center mall. Etc.
Course Curriculum Overview
There are lots of courses available here. Like seriously here you'll get approx 12 stream for bachelor of technology only. Apart from that you'll get branches for computer application, masters degree, etc. Chemicals engineering, food technology and masters degree from this college is very popular and well disciplined across peoples.
Placement Experience
For the placement of students, our college have a properly separate department called TPO training and placement cell. They've contacts with very rich and good company like byjoe, TCS, WIPRO, NESTLE, ITC, IOC, and many such great recruiters. Yes, our college provide internship opportunity to the students but there is a catch. They've internship opportunity for few branches candidate only like food technology, chemical engineering etc. Also to be noted, yes stipend is provided.
College Events
Different fest and events are celebrated in our college like technical, cultural, sports, knowledge, motivational etc. All the time in a year we've seen different kind of fests and events. In few upcoming days we'll be enjoying annual cultural meet. We're we'll be seeing different cultural activities like dance, acting, comedy and many more things of joy and prosperity. Then also college spends on calling celebrities in our college. Lastly Jubin Nautiyal the singer visited our college with his band.
Fee Structure And Facilities
For a normal Btech course of 4 years along with your hostel charge and tuition fees. It'll cost you like 4.5 lakhs. Including all admission charge, library fees, etc. Fees is like ok ok types. Its reasonable though. Not expensive like Amity, galgotia etc. Separately calculated then only your tuition fees for one semester is approx 40k. And 12k for hostel. That's it.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship is provided to few creamy students in academics. And also few more scholarship is provided to the students if available from third party or any government body is available. Loan facility is also available for both of your tuition and hotel fees.
Campus Life
Lab are like superb. But sports like cricket, basketball, football etc are not supported by the college. And also not sponsored by any of the college body. Our seniors do organise itself. But for other events like annual sport day, annual cultural meet etc. Our college organises it with all joy.
Hostel Facilities
No. I do not opted for hostel. I always loved to rent a flat not because hostel is not available. Hostels are available inside the campus itself. To be very honest Hostels are average. Not very super facilities available. All hostels are non-ac. Non-lift.
Alumni/Alumna
Well its very hard to comment on this because some of them are very rude while some of them are very helpful. As per my experience i've made lots of senior friends. They are helpful. We've spent lots of memorable time. We've chilled along. We've danced together. And what not. But also been tortured by few of other seniors. So its tough to comment.
Admission
I got admission by my Jee Mains rank. Actually i was supposed to get admission in NITs but my rank pushed me back. Btw i had a rank 62428 in my Jee mains. And I'm from general category so i didn't got NIT. That's why I got chance to get admission in this college through WBJEE counselling. I got my college as per my choice. This college was first in my choice list. So i got this. And hence got admission too.
Faculty
Well talking about faculty, I'll have my mixed opinion. Because many of the faculties are from top and renowned placed. Like my HOD sir is former NIT faculty. Our director sir is again a former NIT faculty. On the other hand few of the faculty are very poor to teach us,even they are unable to communicate us properly. They can't speak hindi or English properly. While majority of students are non-Bengala hence hindi speaking. So that's a big loop.
