An Extraordinary Normal College.

Academic is quite good here but the cultural and extracurricular activities sometimes get delayed as well as exams get delayed but syllabus and academic is always nice. Wifi helps a lot both for entertainment as well as studies.

Well, the college is affiliated with BIJU PATNAIK UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY which is also the state University for technical courses. The syllabus is not that up to date like that of IITS AND NITS. BUT it's ok for a normal timeline. Currently, we are in an autonomous batch. with 2 internals of 15 marks each. Practical of 50 marks each. External exams of 100 marks each for a total of 6 Subjects per semester.

Yes, placement is a nice thing here. Software companies are a lot here. 70% of students get placed because of these software companies. Core companies are less but it is at a nominal ratio. Internships are not offered through the college.

Starting from admission we have freshers for the newly admitted. Then we have an engineer's cup for inter-college sports tournaments. Then we have a sports day. Then we have a technical fest called PERCEPTION. AND we have an annual cultural fest called X-TASY. And at last, we have a farewell for the 4th year.

The fee structure is feasible as it is a state government-funded college. Hostels mess fees are also nominal. College also provides an annual scholarship of 5000 to the bright needy students. All the other activities and stationary also are done at Government rates.

College offers a scholarship amount of 5000 annually to the top 10% of each branch and those whose annual family income is less. Also, there is a TUITION FEE WAIVER scheme for the needy bright students who score good ranks and take admission in our college.

Extracurricular activities are a lot. A lot of technical events. Annually each branch has its branch fest where there is unlimited no. Of events starting from robotics to quiz to cultural. Laboratories are ok. Sports are well nurtured here.

The hostel has excellent 24*7 100 Mbps Wi-Fi. Infrastructure is bad. But mess along with Wi-Fi makes the advantage. Bathrooms are newly created. There is space in between for playing gully cricket. We have recreation activities in the hostel.

The Alumni network is quite good. They help a lot in times of need. Recently due to the destruction of FANI, our alumni of NALCO and NTPC send teams along with support to clear up and facilitate the college activities.

I gave the JEE MAIN entrance exam. Got a rank of 51325 AIR. Counseling was done by OJEE and according to my preference, I was allotted College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar in the year 2017.

Nice and cooperative faculty. Some departments are rude. Nevertheless, our department of Electrical Engineering is nice and supportive. We get all kinds of academic as well as financial support for our projects.
