After spending 4 years in NIT Srinagar, all i can say is just go and enjoy the feel of heaven in Kashmir valley and explore the vast learning environment of NIT Srinagar. There are no negative points to share rather than saying its a heaven in itself. All the best !

The course curriculum designed in NIT Srinagar is in continum with the lastest trends in industries and research based areas. Syllabus is designed by a well developed committee of senior faculty members who are aware with the latest and ongoing research areas. Regarding the exam structure, students have to go through 2 exams per semester. One exam is the mid term exam followed by a major exam at the end of semester.

NIT Srinagar has a separate placement cell established to ensure that each and every student gets placed before leaving the college and fortunately every year the college receives almost 100% placement target. The placement cell is very active and does all the possible efforts for their students so that they achieve their dreams. No, college itself doesn't provide any internship and hence no stipend but as a part of curriculum students have to do atleast one internship in 3rd year from other institutions of country and submit a report in their respective departments.

Some of the events celebrated in NIT Srinagar are : Techvaganza : The official techfest of NIT SRINAGAR takes place every year where students from other institutions take part. Idea Challenge: It is an event wherein students are given a chance to present their innovations and entrepreneurship skills and present their ideas and are awarded according to their progress.

The fee structure of the college is overall feasible and for the information of common people, the fee structure is set so that it is affordable to everyone. No one is deprived of education in NIT SRINAGAR just because of fee structure. Apart from that students can avail many scholarships that arr provided by government of india.

Pertaining to scholarship, students can avail most of the scholarship provided by government of India and some state scholarship as well. Loan facilities are provided by the bank established in NIT Srinagar which enables students to tackle any financial problems if they encounter any during the course of their study.

Regarding extra curricular activities, we have a common recreation centre established there in which almost every game centre is established. Apart from that inter NIT sports fest are there in which our college participate every year. Also intersemester and interbranch sports tournaments are held every year which is one of the most interesting things. Regarding labs in NIT Srinagar, the labs are equipped with state of the art equipment and in every lab instructors are present who assist the students 24*7.

NIT Srinagar has a good established alumni cell in which alumni's from 1970's batches are connected. Also we had a alumi meet in October 2018 wherein the alumnae from 1987 batches were made available for a reunion and interaction with our batch. Apart from that they were taken to a many tourist places there.They really were very interactive and helpful.

The admission process in this college is solely conducted on the basis of merit in JEE mains exam conducted every year. After the result is declared and rank list is out, JoSAA enables to students to fill preference forms wherein student has to give preference to desired course and college.

According to me and my experience of 4 years of B.tech, the faculty of NIT Srinagar is best in class. Reputed proffesors from all over the country are their to teach the students. Some professors are having a past experience of teaching from IIT's and foreign universities. Many profesors have also worked in prestigious laboratories of India like DRDO, ISRO etc.
