Remarks
The professors are not that bothered about students development though exception are there. But they are busy with their own research. Also sometimes students tend to live in their room rather than exploring, also in some halls, food is pretty bad.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very hectic and there are generally 4 exams in one semester Class Test 1, Classs Test 2, Mid Semester and end semester. Class test contains 10 marks each, mid semester contains 30 and end sem contains 50 marks.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There is 1 lakh per semester tution fees for B.Tech students. And around 33,000 other fees per semester but there is MCM scholarships for the students who have a decent Cgpa, also for those who are poor and from sc and st category, tuition fee is 100% waived.
Fees and Financial Aid
Their is Mcm scholarship-Merit Cum Means Scholarship , for the students who performed decent in academis , their is also bhatnagar scholarahip for Mtechs , it gives 12000 annually.There is also 2 banks -Sbi and pnb who provides loans.
Campus Life
There are labs -Electronics and Electrical engineering lab, Mechanical lab, Chemistry lab, Physics lab , Engineering drawing lab, Biotech lab which are pretty good and expensive equipment. There are also sports facilities like football, cricket, hockey, swimming, waterpolo.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are great, there are around 16 boys and 5 girls hostels. There are single, double and triple rooms. Infrastructures are great though not for all hostels.Girls hostel are fancier than boys. Also their are bathrooms which were cleaned regularly and common room with board.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are helpful. Their is also a society called Alumni cell who organizes alumni meet annually and invites notable alumni like Sundar Pichai, vinod gupta. They sometimes provides budget for their respective halls.
Admission
I cleared Jee main then Jee Advanced with great score. Then after doing Jee Counselling I got this college. My preference was Kharagpur, as I live in West Bengal. And I preferred Electronics and Electrical engineering, as placement is better there.
Faculty
Faculties are very intelligent and maximum of them have done their phd from foreign universities. They are very helpful but sometimes due to their own research work. They don't get the time to focus on the teaching quality.
