College with good values

Positively good academic structure, which can be seen through the cut off list. Even though the coll lacks good campus, it hasn't been much of a prob for me for past 4yrs. Students come from all the backgrounds, thus, more of equity is maintained. Very less grouping is experienced. Coll is quite near to the Airoli station, hardly 5min walk. Coll canteen needs to rework a lot though. But again, a lot of small restaurants surround the campus which are quite affordable and yummy!

BE is basically a 4yr course. These 4 yrs are divided into 8sems ie 2 sems each yr. Each sem has 2 unit tests and 1 term test as per Mumbai University. Each sem also contains practical and Viva exams as per the subjects are concerned. At last, avg of all the above exams is considered for final grading.

Many companies do come here for in-campus selection. But i can't vouch for Mechanical and Civil branch as core companies are very less in no. But, no such prob with IT companies. Internships are provided by the coll at times, but still the guarantee is not certain. No stipend is given as these Internships are considered to be learning tools for the students.

Around the year 2 major events are held- Technitude and Milestone. Technitude deals with technical games and rounds which are held by each branch Comittee. These games are mostly related to their branch curriculum. Here, each branch competes with itself. Milestone deals with indoor and outdoor games and extra curricular activities like dancing, singing, etc. Here, each student competes with one another irrespective of branch.

Fees are quite feasible. Belonging to certaim caste helps us by paying less fees than normal. Improvements in the campus can be expected according to the fees. Gov provides certain scholarships for under-privileged students.

Gove provides a scholarship according to your financial and caste standing. MahaDBT portal provides the necessary details regarding the same. Open students with poor financial conditions could enjoy the benefits if EBC (scholarship type). No other scholarship provided from the coll side.

Coll is quite active in terms of sports ie Tug of War, Chess, Badminton, etc. Has been competing in a lot of competions and wins in many too. Talking about lab equipments, they could be improved a lot to meet the recent trends regarding the softwares used.

Most of the seniors are always in touch with the faculty. Thus, reaching them is quite easy. Many alumini teach in the coll itself. If asked for,they do come to coll for encouragement speeches and talking about the real scenario out there. If need be, seniors are quite helpful and eager to help.

I got admission through MH-CET entrance exam. You can get in via the aforesaid exam of JEE Main, whichever gets your name in the merit list. Having a caste helps you to get in more easily. 50% marks in PCM in HSC is must for any engg coll.

Coll faculty is very good as per my exp. Even though some of them might lack the exp to teach properly, they have immense knowledge about their subject. So 1 on 1 sessions are best. Every faculty has knowlegede regarding their subject. Friendly faculty as per doubt sessions are concerned. Your get respect if you give respect.
