Life in KNIT Sultanpur and further scopes.

There is chance of improvement everywhere so of course there are certain things that they can improve. Coming to some positive things about our college. Our college has very good coding culture. Everyone is encouraged to do coding. The college seniors teach the hard subjects under Teach For Technocrats (TFT). It's very knowledgeable. Recently our college has started providing free GATE coaching classes.

The course curriculum is the same as in most of the colleges. Of course they don't focus on GATE. You have to do that by yourself, but then it's same for every college. You can pursue your passion as they make you available most of the resources. Coming to exam structure, there are 4 Class Tests and 2 semesters each year. It's not very hectic.

Since I am in 2nd year so I don't have that much information about placement.But all I got to know is that 5 to 7 students got near 7.5 lakhs and remaining got nearly 4.5 lakhs in CS/IT branch. Companies for other branches also come and the students get 5 to 6 lakhs.Our college does not provide internship. You have to do it by yourself but they usually refund the cost of internship and trainings you want to do.There are many students who have cleared GATE.

Our college celebrated cultural fest i.e. Anubhuti. That was pretty dope. And in 2019 we would celebrate technical fest called Effulgence and sports fest i.e Tvaran. Other events like Startup hunt, ISTE events, IEI events are organised on regular basis which are engaging and fun. Awareness events like Plant the Sapling, Follow Traffic Rules, Women Empowerment are also organised.

Its average. It comes to nearly 1 lakh including Mess charges, Hostel Charges. Its way affordable than private colleges. Main course fees is nearly 75k. Its government college so it is affordable. Most of the students get scholarship so you have to pay even less.

SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ minority students get scholarship. Economically weaker students also get scholarship. The amount you get is really very good. If you are in top 5 in your branch and have not availed any other scholarship you get 3000 Rs.

Sports event are organised regularly.There is league for most of the sports like cricket, badminton, football, volleyball etc in our college.We have hobby club, Mechanical forum, ISTE, IEI etc which regularly organises events that are knowledgeable and fun at the same time.We have councils like literary club, dance club, singing club, drama club, art club and so on, which also organises events regularly. Various coding events are organised which are really very competitive. Other colleges also take part.

There only 2 hostels for girls whole boys have many. Girls Hostel: The building is very old.Although infrastructure is like 7 out of 10 but the facilities are very good like they provide you with washing machine, 24*7 wifi, 24×7 water, 24×7 ambulance availability, sweepers come, there is canteen, dustbins that can dispose sanitary napkins, very good mess, etc. Boys hostel: They are also more or less like girls hostel.

Of course they are helpful. Recently batch of 1998 came to our college and interacted with students. They were very keen to share their life experiences, mistakes, and so on. Our fests are mainly funded by alumni so you can tell how good this network is.

So I gave UPTU entrance exam. It was easier than JEE. I got rank nearly 1950. So during college allotment I got KNIT Sultanpur CS branch. I didn't get CS/IT in IET Lucknow at this rank in round 1 and I didn't try for further rounds since KNIT Sultanpur is also a good college. Then I went for counselling, submitted all the documents, fees in the college and after some days we were allotted hostels and college life started.

I mean its not so good and not so bad. We are allotted professors but only one of them is regular. The others never showed their face again. But to fill as their substitutes various young faculties come. Some of them are very talented and some of them are average.
