Remarks

Library needs to be updated with new books, college needs infrastructure maintenance, placements should be increased. Seniors need to be helpful. Alumni network needs to be much strong. Placements and interships should be encouraged.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My opinion on the course curriculum is good. Syllabus and the curriculum is based on Aicte and makaut. Exam structure consists of 4 internal exams per semester i.e. 32 internals in 8 semester or 4 years , 8 practical exams i.e. one each semester and 8 semester exam i.e. one each semester.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements and job opportunities are average. 50% students are placed each year with 70% from CS and IT get placed other branches like ME, CE have lesser placements. Due to more number of chemical industries in that area students of chemical engineering branch have 100% placements. Companies like Wipro, Infosys come as mass recutries and recruit 80% of placed student. College provide internships in local companies like haldia petrochemical, etc.

College Events

4

College is fun filled with many events. From annual cultural fest to annual technical fest everything is celebrated with enthusiasm. Technical fest include many events like robo war, drifts, drone race, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible as compared to other colleges of the same level. You have to pay 40000-45000 per semester i.e 90000 per year which feasible for this kind of college. Other college charge huge amount of money.

Fees and Financial Aid

Government of india and West Bengal government offers scholarship to minorites of our country. Scholarship are also given to college topper with no fees to be paid for whole course and departmental topper with no fees for one semester.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities included cultural fest which has many events to participate from folk dance, extempore, skit, one act play and much more. Sports are done in college as well as state level, departmental football tournament , cricket tournament, athletics, volleyball , badminton and indoor sports are also held.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel infrastructure is best in West Bengal among private colleges. There are around 10 boys hostel and 4 girls hostel in the campus with lush green, spacious hostel. Hostel have their own gyms and playground. Hostel also organise sports events during the academic year.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumin network of the college is not much strong. College seniors are also not much helplul expect from some. College has not strong alumni networks which needs to be changed in few years. Seniors are not so well.

Admission

1. Jee mains 2. Wbjee Apply for Jee mains and secure a respectable rank to get admission in the 12 courses or streams pursued in the college. Apply for wbjee I.e. West Bengal joint entrance examination and secure a rank to sit in the counseling process and get this college with your desired stream.

Faculty

2.5

My opinion on the faculties is average. They are not so well taught and don't teach well. They have a traditional mindset which is not helpful. Some faculties are from NITs also. Some faculties are very helpful and knowledgeable which shapes students career.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
