Remarks

The bad thing about the college is the students are so much into smoking and stuff. And the best thing about the college is the exposure and the discipline they put us through. The college management is really helpful and considerate about the student's f

Entrance Preview

NCHMCT-JEE I had an option to go for Indraprasth University for BA(llb) but then my main aim was to become a chef. And when I got through the rigorous procedure for the admission in IHM Mumbai, I could see my dream coming true. I chose this course because its something I personally like. And its a professional course. So that's the main reason I so wanted to be in the Hotel Industry.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure is really hectic. But at the same time its really a great help to us as we have to be trained for this industry from the very beginning.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't had the chance to experience the internship stuff as I am in 1st semester for now. And the internship starts from 3rd semester.

Placement Experience

5

The placememts are really good. Although it requires real hard world of 18 hours a day. But the world is worth it. The exposure one gets on the job is to a next level. The money is pretty good. And most importantly the college provides with the best internship opportunities which in turn help us to be prepared for the hectic job schedule.

College Events

5

The college fests aren't that good. But the college festivals and parties are mind blowing. IHM students are best at what they do. And their personality is their main key. So the fests and parties don't really go all happening without us. The best fest in Mumbai is the Malhaar fest of Xavier's. IHM participated in it. But couldn't qualify due the lack of practise and short time span.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarships given are pretty good regarding the poor students who come here. A scholarship of 50,000 rupees is given to the each year topper in every year. This acts as a great enthusiastic drive for the students.

Campus Life

3.5

The boys and girls ratio is 2:1. The students are really nice as they gel up really fast. And the best part is that the seniors are really helpful to their juniors. No politics is so off limits for IHM students. The economic status is average. Their are many rich students and poor as well. So the economic status can't be determined.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels are really good if compared to the other colleges. But it's not available to the 1st year students. Just NRI 1st year students. The food is obiviously good as its IHM. That is basically all we do. The rated of PG or flat on an average is 12000 pe

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the seniors tell us about what to do and what not to do. Which teacher is the best and what not. The do's and dont's. The hang out spots. The attendance and studies stuff. They helped ua out with all the stuff.

Faculty

4.5

The teachers are highly educated and trained and the alumini of the same college so they know how it works, the college and stuff. Teachers here are always up for help. They are best at what they do. After all they are supposed to be.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
