The funding to the college is very high. In comparision to that , the facilities provided could be improved. The campus is open to locales also , which poses a threat to student community. Girls hostel have relatively less sports and tech facilities and also the entry exit rules for girls are much stricter. The boys have no such restrictions.

Being one of the premier colleges of the country the placement and job opportunities are abundant. You can find opportunities in anyband every forleld you could think of. You coul pursue and achieve excellence in any field of your choice. You will always find like minded people and always be able to find professional opportunities in the field. The academic structure is substantially flexible so you could pursue a minor in some other discipline of your interest , pursue a micro specialisation or just take up electives and additiona subjects to learn about different subjects. There are workshops and guest lectures going throughout the year and you could take bemfit of those.there are variy clubs and societies to induce and help you pursuing what you like.

The co curriculuar activities in the college are as prominent as the academic ones. Various clubs , societies keep organizing different events for entertainment or learning purpose. You could be a part of one of these societies of they interest you and pursue your interest in the free time. The major fests and events are - Spring fest - largest cultural fest in india Kshitij - largest techno management fest of Asia NSSC - national students space challenge Megalith Great step And many more. All the departments have their individual fests. All the clubs and societies have thier individual events too. Thecampus is alive all the time. There are also cultural , technical and other competitions going on all round the year. The exposure to any field of your choice would be great.

Right now the fee structure is slightly expensive but still affordable to a middle class family. The fees had to be paid semster wise. Including the mess and hostel fees and other charges , the fees is around 1.5 L per semester.

The college provides mcm scholarship There are also department wise scholarships. The college provildes merit cum means scholarship to students based on paresys income. But as far as is know the amout is very less.

The labs and sports facilities are amazing. Labs have state of the art machines and equipments. The resaerch work carried out is greatly facilitated due to this. The sports and extracurricular facilities are even better. Name an activity /hobby/sports and you will find peers and faculty to pursue it here.

The hostel and infrastructure is old and the capacity is falling shory since more number of candidates are being admitted each year. The mess food is bad and their have been cases of insects and liazards found in the food.

Due to the prominence of the college our alumni are at very higher ecleons in great companies. Since the shar number of candidates passing out from our college is large , the alumni network is huge. And very helpful. The student welfare gro of campus holds an alumni mentorship program where in each student is connected to an alumni who guides him/her.

The entrance exam is two tier. Candidate fors needs to appear and clear JEE Main. The cutoff for qualifying the exam varies each year depending on the toughness and the decided no of candidates that the council decides to qualify for the next level - JEE advanced. After qualifying JEE advanced , you go through 7 rounds of online counselling and are finally allotted your college and stream based on your rank.

This is one negative of the institute. The professors are great academicians but not so great teachers. The lectures are often dry and boring. And the attendance policy , which is the personal dicretion of each professor , is rigid for our departments (civil Eng)
