Good college for regular studying students

It's overall good college but you have to study regularly. You can't sleek your study any semester,otherwise you have to pay the cost in terms of Supply or bad GPA

Research driven syllabus as per guidelines of IIT Madras, some department like ShipTech,Safety and fire have very good placement. Some PSU also visit college. Overall good placement in software department and few students from civil and mechanical are also getting placement.

Placement is very good in branches like Safety and fire, ship Technology. In CSE & IT, depend upon your skill. A lot of companies visit the college offering package from 3.5 lakh to 28 lakh. Companies like Cisco visit the campus. In core field of EE,ECE,you can get job but package is low (around 3-5),in civil and mechanical,only some students get placed in core field with good package.

Every Even semester is full of events. Almost every weekend you can enjoy any events. At open air auditorium, events are organised. At college & University level, Techfest Dhishna, cultural fest Vipanchika, Sargam are organised. Tech fest of other departments like instrumentation, polymer science and rubber technology, are organised saperately at larger scale, All techfest are sponsored by some organisation.

For non-Keralite, Fee for Btech in Civil, Mech,EE,ECE,CSE,IT,SF are around 4 lakh (only tution fee). For Keralite Gen it is around 2 lakh, and OBC/SC/ST almost get free education. It is a self financed institute, that's why fee is high, But the Quality the they provide is appreciable

I have taken education loan. But I think many Keralite students don't take loans, the fee is almost half for them,

Campus life is not that much good for non-Keralite. You may feel like a separate group among them. The language barrier are clearly visible. However, you will get support from your peer group but you can't enjoy your hometown festival. Extracurricular activities are held regularly. Labs are good and it us being done with mandation.

The effect of the alumni network is very limited. However some initiative have been taken recently in the form of scholarship. You can get benefit in terms of off-campus placement by Alumni.

After exam in month of April/May through CUSAT CAT. The result is published in last May. And online registration process starts in mid June and continue till August. After confirmation of seat,you have to pay online and then come to college on a fixed date for document verification

Faculty are very cooperative. They are ready to help you, but norms are followed a bit strictly. You can't even ignore subjects like 'Entrepreneurship development'. You have to do all the work as in guidelines. There is no shortcut way. Attendance is mandatory, faculties are strict in attendance. They will never give you extra attendance. Even 8th semester student attend full classes.
