Remarks
I didn’t like the uniform in the college. It was weird brownish pants and stripe shirt. I like to wear full sleeve shirt but it was not allowed for uniform. Also there is no proper parking spot for students who bring their own vehicle.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course standard was good. I had year + semester system for exam. The overall course duration was 4 year. 1st year I had yearly exam, that is exam was conducted at the end of the year and for other 3 years, I had semester exams, that is every 6 months.
Placement Experience
Yes the college had good placement opportunities. I myself got placed into two companies from my college and that too one was an Oman company. As per my knowledge only my college had international placement interviews.
College Events
There are numerous events celebrated in the college including arts day, sports day, college day etc. The main event is the college Tech fest which generally includes 3 days of technical exhibition by various branches of the college. It even had fun events and motor show as well. Also there will union inauguration event after college election ( not political )
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is kind of expensive for a middle class family. But compared to others self financing college it is feasible as the education and other amenities provided by the college was of top class.
Fees and Financial Aid
Actually I have not awaited any loan or got any Scholarship. The scholarship was available to the first 1000 rank holders in Kerala entrance exam. They had to pay only the government college fees. Also the college had scholarship for minority students or students whose annual family income is less than 2 lakhs I guess provided they don’t fail in any semester.
Campus Life
The college have good lab facilities. The machinery and equipments used were brand new, the lab was properly cleaned and maintained with excellent staffs to teach us. The college had cricket, football, volleyball and basketball court in the campus and we had college teams as well.
Hostel Facilities
My home was nearby, so I was a day scholar. My friends used to stay in hostel and they were extremely happy with the facilities. Only problem they used to say was they had to get inside the hostel by 7:00 PM
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the alumni network is extremely helpful in finding jobs and sharing knowledge. We have a whatsapp group as well for easy communication. An alumni day is also celebrated in college once an year so that students can meet and share their experiences.
Admission
As per our 12th standard marks ( Physics,Chemistry and Maths only )and score in Kerala entrance exam, they will prepare a rank sheet. Based on this rank, they will call the students and have a short discussion regarding the course you want to study, fee structure, amenities provided etc.
Faculty
I had experienced faculties in the college and some of them were graduated from the same institution as well. They not only had theoretical knowledge but had practical knowledge as well. I had a pretty good lab and workshop experience as well.
