Remarks

Positive. It's Fully autonomous institute, under MHRD. And have director same as of IIT Kharagpur. So getting in this college is far better than going in some random private college. Bcz when you go for offsite placement this MHRD college will get you a plus point than other.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is designed on the basis of current industry requirements like AI, NLP, DIP, etc. but faculty is not that good. We have 8 semester with 8 midsem in between these sems. College follows CGPA grading system.

Placement Experience

2.5

Yeah college will get you placed in some startups and service based companies, but its not like mass recruitment you have to face all the required tests. Yes they provide institutnal and industrial internship. I was doing internship at IIT Bhubaneswar it was quite good experience learnt more than my faculty ever taught us. Not given any stipend.

College Events

3.5

It's a new college so it doesn't even have its campus that being said. No big fests or events are organised. Just small coding, gaming, art completion are organised. And yes Teachers day, yoga day, Republic, independence day are celebrate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is too much. Initially it was Rs. 46,500 per semester including all extra fees, like maintainance fee, extra curriculum fee, examination fee etc. One time caution money of 2000 has to be submitted. But now it's Rs. 93000 per semster. That is too expensive. And there is less number of scholarships. So its not feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is given to 6 students from college. Top three Jee Main rank holders. And then top 3 Rank holders from West Bengal state. Loan facilities are poor. One of my friend had to run for month to get loan just bcz institute was new and bank was not approving its authenticity. College never helped for loan.

Campus Life

0.5

Labs are there. 3 Computer lab with Ubuntu and Windows dual boot. One Electronics lab. Sports facilities are poor. Kalyani stadium has been booked and arranged for the students. Bus facility is provided betwee different hostel location and stadium. But timing is the poor thing. One have to get up at 6 am if he needs to use the facility. And that too for an hour or two bcz classes starts after that.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No infrastructure for hostel. just some buildings flats rented, in local town. Bus service is provided. All students are scattered over local town. Girls' warden was put on 3 years after college establishment. Though being a central government college it's hostel fee is Rs. 36000 per semester, including stay plus mess. Mess is good.

Alumni/Alumna

Just Two batch have graduated till now so not a big alumni network. But seniors are helpful when asked they helped lots of students. Like they are well placed in IT hub Bangalore so they refer students to their respective organisation that helps alot.

Admission

Through Jee Main score. I got in thia college. Counselling was done through CSAB. And after getting this college in 3rd round i got into admission process that wad quite easy. Just required documents have to be submitted along with college fee.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is bad. They are less teacher more politician if you say. They don't care what you want or dont understand you were focusing on placement, that made less attendance in Project, though you complete the project. They just want extortion.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
