In this field I'll mark the college according to me. Faculty 3/5. Campus 3/5. Placement 2/5. Training and internship 0/5. Laboratory 4/5. Beside this College has introduced a new teaching method ""Flip Classes"" this may improve the college's rating in future.
Course Curriculum Overview
As JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING is a autonomous institute there is separate course for JIS Group from WBUT. Though it has different course but it is monitored by WBUT. The course nearly similar to WBUT.
Placement Experience
Internship!!! No, our college don't provide any internships. Now let's come on the topic of placement. Yes, they provided job but only IT companies come for placement. And also "Fake placement" is also a big issue.
College Events
JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING celebrate Tech Fest, it is normally celebrated in the month of February. Many students from different colleges and also school students participate in this event. If I have to rate this event I'll give 3 star.
Fee Structure And Facilities
JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING is little bit expensive then other nearest colleges. I had to pay 406400? for this 4years. If one study in government college they have to pay approximately 4000? and West Bengal government also provide scholarship for private colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Neither JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING don't provide any scholarship nor manage for loan. I have took education loan from SBI on interest of 10% for loan only I had to do everything college didn't help me.
Campus Life
Sports- JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING is having a football ground in it's campus. Lab- Yes, JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING having good lab facility but lab assistants are not that good. Extracurricular activities- College does not have any good facility in this topic.
Hostel Facilities
I didn't choose the hostel but my many friends are from hostel, the left hostel after 1year saying that if they take room on rent that is more comfortable, less expensive. In hostel probably the food quality is not good.
Alumni/Alumna
Previously the our college didn't had any alumni network. But from last few years college is working on this field and trying to make a good network for placement and other things. I'll give 3star for this.
Admission
We have to give WBJEE, a entrance exam in state level to get admission in this College. It is a state level exam and one have to scrore a low rank in WBJEE to get admission in government college but in case of JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING you don't need a low rank.
Faculty
As I know the faculties of other streams like CSE, IT are having good faculties but for mechanical the faculties are having poor understanding in their respective subjects. Also some time their behaviour become unexpected.
