Remarks
The college is very good but there is some negativety in upper level of employees. The way of talking or communicating with them is not good. You have to escalate so much to get to them for any issue.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in JIS college of engineering is quite interesting because it includes all the essential things a person needs to get itself prepared for getting employed in good companies. In JIS we have 8th semester and each semester has atleast 4 subjects.
Placement Experience
Yes, in JIS there are lots of opportunities to get internship. You can find many student ambassadors from internshala who are there to show you the path to get good internship. I also has 3 internship for web development and earned 15000 rupees.
College Events
There are so many events celebrated in JIS. Some of the are- Departmental Cricket tournament, Tech Fest's, Convocation, football championship, Beauty contest, Quiz contests. Every year we had these set of events which makes our life filled with joy and energies us to study well.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure at JIS college of engineering is quite feasible because even middle class students can afford it. In each semester we had to pay approximately 45000 rupees for college fee. And during admission it was around 62000 for 1st semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't got any scholarship in JIS college of engineering but there were some student who got TFW scheme. It stands for tution fee weaver. I got a loan from government bank for my studies. And also peoples there is an examination process to get scholarship.
Campus Life
In JIS college of engineering you get a lot of extracurricular activities. In every two or three months there are some sports event. Lab facilities at JIS is also good. The computer labs consists of sufficient computers. Also physics and chemistry lab are good.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I was a hosteler at JIS college of engineering. And living in a hostel is a different kind of experience. Our hostel was very nice the rooms were sufficient for two people's. We had to pay 5000 rupees per month for hostel accommodation.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes there is a large alumni network. College organises events to meed and greet there alumnus. I got so much help from my seniors through alumni portal and it helped me a lot to choose a good career path for me.
Admission
I got admission in JIS college of engineering through west Bengal joint entrance examination. My rank was around 50000. I went with the admission counselling in which I had to choose three colleges and then I got selected in JIS.
Faculty
The college faculties in JIS are very much supportive. They supported me very well during my entire college life. I got so much opportunities because of them. They provided me with good source of knowledge and guidance.
