My college review

All total if someone is trying to study in very less cost then the college is fair enough. But it is not upto the mark in terms of placement, extracurricular activities or even in studies. If someone has the capability to study and get placed on their own will can join.

Course curriculum is good but more practical approach is need for better learning. It has semester system where in a year there are 2 semesters and it is a 4 year course. So, total there are 8 semesters and in each semester there is internal examination and practical examination included.

The college doesn't provide internship opportunities rather the students need to find for themselves. Now about the placement, it is not upto the mark a lot of students go unplaced every year. The placement percentage is about 50-60%

There are numerous events celebrated like independence day, republic day etc. Except these the college students organise tech fest and a yearly cultural fest every year. Where many dignitaries comes to give inspirational speech.

It's feasible. It takes around 25000 including semester fees and hostel f ees for a semester. So, it is around 50000 each year and the whole course takes about 2 lacs to get completed. Apart from these many students who need financial aid, the government of west bengal arrange TFW scholarship for them.

There are numerous scholarship offered by the University of Burdwan and our college too. Like TFW and many private scholarship. The government of west bengal also provide scholarship based on their rank in entrance examination.

There is no dedicated department for extracurricular activities neither there is any good facilities for that. The playground is not upto the mark and if one tries to play there can get severe injury. The college authority are reluctant to these issues.

Hostels are good. There are 4 hostels for boys and 3 for girls. Infrastructure is not upto the mark. Though there are water purifier in each hostel but rarely they remains operative and the college authority rarely gives importance to these.

There is an alumni network but it is nearly in active. The college authority doesn't take any step to organise any alumni meet or something like that so the pass out students and the current students can have an interaction. Seniors are good.

WBJEE, then there is centralised counselling done based on rank in the entrance examination. If your rank is somewhere between 4000-8000. You can get any branch of your choice. There is no interview round after that. The cutoff percentage is 40% in each PCM in +2 exam.

Faculty are good but are not much interested to teach. They lack the motivation to teach latest technologies and are only concentrated on marks. It doesn't mean every faculty is like that but most of them.
