Remarks

The college should change the menu of the canteen. This the only suggestion I would give to my college, overall it is the best B-school in Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Talking about the syllabus, the syllabus is well designed and structured, every topic which is important and is necessary for a student to learn is covered and the way syllabus is divided in different semesters reduces the load of preparing for exams.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are really good, many big companies which provide ample opportunities to students to develop and enhance their skills are invited for college placements because money alone does not matter. And college also provides internships at many big companies like Tanishq, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. to help the student to go and experience the job environment and apply their theoretical in the real world.

College Events

4.5

JIMS does not only focuses on studies but also on other co-curricular activities which are really important. It is a partner with Rotaract Club, a non-profit organization that started many campaigns to provide general awareness on various social issues and help the needful people. Also at every year during Diwali, there is an Inter-JIMS competition named Zest and Dandiya.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is neither too high nor too low. The fee I paid in 1st year was rupees 80,800/- which includes every facility. The infrastructure, highly educated professors, smart classes, tuition fees, labs with the latest systems and library with the latest editions where you can comfortably sit and study without any disturbance.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for any scholarship but our colleges are registered under various institutes and organizations which provide scholarships to the needy students. So any student who wants scholarships can apply for it by fulfilling their basic eligibility criteria.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is really beautiful, every student is treated equally, there is no gender or religious discrimination. Every student is provided with different opportunities to enhance their knowledge. Activities like debates group discussions help students to build self-confidence in themselves.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni are really cooperative. Ragging is not allowed on our campus and every senior is always ready to help their juniors in every possible way they can.

Admission

So basically there is a whole process to get admission in JIMS, Kalkaji. First, we have to apply for the CET i.e. Common Entrance Test conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. After appearing in CET you have to apply for the online counseling where you will be allotted a college based on your marks and seats left in a particular institute, total 4-5 counseling will be held where you have to book your seat in a particular college allotted to you based on your marks in CET and then get yourself registered in that particular college.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are very kind and cooperative, they support you in the maximum way they can, not just in studies but also in other co-curricular activities held inside or outside the campus. They help you to grow regularly and find new opportunities to enhance our skills and knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
