Brilliant college with excellent infrastructural facilities

Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science (MBITS), Kothamangalam, Cochin, Kerala was started in the year 2009 upholding the motto, “Wisdom Crowns Knowledge” and aims to provide quality higher education at par with international standards. The institution offers various B.Tech and M.Tech courses with an annual intake of 498 at a highly affordable fee structure along with scholarships to meritorious students provided by Mar Thoma Cheria pally, Kothamangalam and Government of India.

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (initially Kerala Technological University),a State Government University has come into existence on May 21, 2014 with an aim to give leadership to the technology related policy formulation and Engineering Planning for the State. It also emphaziess to improve the academic standards of the Graduate, Post Graduate and Research Programmes in Engineering Science, Technology and Management and regulate the academic standards of all colleges affiliated to the University. The main thrust areas of the University are Research,Development and Innovation.

The MBITS Corporate Relations and Placements team provides all the modern and latest techniques to ensure and satisfy the requirments of the modern organizations. The aim of the placement cell is to pick and place all our students with quality recruiters based on their talent and skill. As a social commitment to the society, MBITS Placement cell takes initiatives to host and coordinate pooled campus recruitment drives of different companies for the students of various colleges in the state of Kerala.

College festivals are all about the fun, frolic, dancing, eating, chatting, meeting new people from other colleges, participating in events, star performances and all that, just hold on. College campuses are nothing if not eventful — students have tons of activities and extracurricular to choose from every day. College is the place we can find ourselves, the place where students discover what it’s like to be out on our own, what we truly like and dislike, where we belong.

50% of the sanctioned intake will be allotted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE). Remaining 50% seats will be filled up by the Management, under Management Quota from the applications received at the College office.

Every year 20000 scholarships will be distributed among the students of minority communities throughout the country. Based on the state-wise population of these communities, the distribution of scholarship.

Sports and games not only create a lively environment in the campus, it also gives a platform for the students and staff to develop their motor skills, leadership quality, refine their respective sporting skills and bring students and staff at a level of better understanding, co-operation and sharing. Thus the Department takes all effort to organize events, coach and train the students and staff to perform at various levels. The selected students are given rigorous training and coaching by the Physical Education department.

Gents Hostel is located inside the campus. The three floor building with a total capacity of 32 rooms which accommodates 4 members. Each student is provided with a cot, table,chair, shelf and cupboard in their respective rooms. Each room is provided with a ceiling fan. Out of 32 rooms, 12 are attached. There is one common prayer space, recreation space and one office room in ground floor. There are study areas in each floor. To involve in group studies, the students can make use of the study hall.

The global standards set at MBITS in the field of teaching, research and constantly encourages students for a relentless pursuit of excellence through highly experienced teachers. The institute imparts innovative technical education and give importance to discipline, result, placement and prepare the students technologically superior and ethically strong. MBITS is equipped with the most modern machines required for study, consultancy and research as the major strength of the institute, with an infrastructure of 3 lakh square feet.

I got admission in this college through their entrance examination. I have managed to get B grade and therefore I got scholarship also.It was a tough examination conducted over 500 students and only some of them got good marks. Luckily I was also included in that.
