No such comments. Overall the college environment is very good for studying. Students are free to innovate and bring their ideas to different hackathons arranged in college itself. It lacks a bit of systematic order. The office staffs are very lazy and slow, but this should not bother as you don't need them everyday.

The course is regularly updated according to AICTE rules and regulations. The exam is semester system and internal exams vary from branch to branch. The course is interective as well as theoretic. It provides extensive knowledge of the topic.

As there is scarcity of job. The placement is well enough compared to any other college in the region except IIT. Placement and job also differs from branch to branch but 40-50% are able to get the job.

Cultural programs like dance programs, singing , drama and solo talent shows are quite frequent. College is quite active in matter of sports as well as technical stuff. We have the best Cricket team in state as well as chess team. We have our cultural fest Pyro in the month of feb and our technical fest udhbhavam in Jan.

Fee structure is minimal. It is subsidised heavily as it is a government college. Less than 15000 Rupees for a year and separate examination fees before exams as of 2019 which is around 5k for two semesters.

Many scholarships are provided for sc at and obc as well as for the poor students. Ishan Uday , NEC and some others are provided. I am not very aware as I am not eligible for Scholarships.

Labs are good provided the fees. They are equipped with everything that a lab requires. The sports clubs are very active, it also has a gym where students can workout for free. College has 7 feilds for cricket , football, volleyball , basketball and lawn tennis.

Hostel infrastructure is good not like very good it is liveable as the college is very old the college hostels are very old, there is always renovation going on but infrastructure is okay okay. Hostel provides environment to succeed and the seniors are a boon.

Alumni network is very strong. They help us get jobs, fund the events we conduct in college. They provide sponsorship for the events through their contacts. They are very helpful and are emotional about the college and are willing to do anything.

Everyone who wants to get admission has to clear the CEE examination held in the month of April/may. He/she has to fill up the form in astu website during month if January/ February and pay the examination fees. Lots of students appear for this examination , very few qualify. This exam takes students to different engineering colleges spread across the state.

As we all know the faculty of government engineering colleges are, most of the old professors are strict in attendance and not in teaching. New selected recruits through gate are very good and sincere. They help us do all our projects and always try to Innovate something new to teach. Sometimes they conduct workshops using professionals to make us understand better.
